Pretty expensive but well cooked
I’ve been coming to Melvin’s my whole life, and I truly feel like Charleston is lucky to have it. The quality standards are high, and the food is as good as it’s ever been. I’m wild about the sides. They do em up right.
I *highly* recommend taking advantage of the weekly dinner specials. It’s a good value and a lot of food. Collards and hash & rice are my current favorites.

We got the platter so we could try a bit of everything, and it didn’t disappoint. The smoked turkey was incredible and my favorite part of the meal! The collards and beans paired perfectly with the meat.
