Pretty expensive but well cooked
Had a great experience at Melvin's BBQ - James Island. The BBQ was flavorful, tender, and well prepared, with that delicious smoky taste you expect from a good BBQ spot. The portions were satisfying, the service was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. A great place to enjoy a relaxed meal with family or friends. Would definitely come back
I’ve been coming to Melvin’s my whole life, and I truly feel like Charleston is lucky to have it. The quality standards are high, and the food is as good as it’s ever been. I’m wild about the sides. They do em up right.
I *highly* recommend taking advantage of the weekly dinner specials. It’s a good value and a lot of food. Collards and hash & rice are my current favorites.
