“One of my top 5 restaurants in Charleston. Quality and taste is EPIC and getting to chat with Kazu and Chris just makes the experience so much more intimate. Such a fantastic value for the quality and quantity of food - my main recommendation is to keep a running list of the dishes served because at the end of the meal, you get to order more of whatever you liked a la carte. If you ever get the chance for a hard to get reservation here, TAKE IT!!!!“

“A great sushi place with a nice and cozy atmosphere. The staff is really nice and friendly. The sushi is fresh, with the sashimi melting in your mouth, and it didn’t take too long for the sushi to come. The only thing is that the rolls appeared to be hastily made. Everything else is good.“

“Came here to dine in after a positive togo experience. They are an Asian fusion restaurant which I am a bit reluctant about sometimes because I question how well they can execute that many different cuisines. (Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese…)
In my mind, do I pick ramen or pad Thai? Pho or sushi?
Also my husband has celiac, so we asked the server and she gave us several options.

So we went with miso tum yum because I like both those flavors so why not. Flavorful, tangy, savory and not too spicy.

Green curry, 5/5. Delicious, perfect level of spice, creamy but not too thick, flavors were on point.

Drunken noodles - now idk if this is was because we asked for it to be GF, it did lack that depth of flavor that were used to with these noodles. It had a stronger garlic flavor (which I do enjoy) but not what drunken noodles taste like. I asked for it to be spicier and there was no spice at all, so I added more chili flakes, oil and sriracha. 4/5

Yellowtail hamachi sushi roll was nice and clean, spring rolls were standard as well.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Interested in trying the ramen and pho next time.

“We come to Kiawah Island for many years. One of our high high Lights is dining at Aji. We are from New Jersey and had the pleasure of having dined with on the delicacies created by Tim at our local sushi restaurant and are jealous that folks in Charleston have access to this great restaurant. “Gabe and the other employees are amazing . They always go above and beyond for the customer no matter what . I usually only deal with Gabe but there are 2 others there I like as well that always serve me. They are top notch the owners should defintly give them all pay raises because they are all exceptional workers. The food always hits the spot taste and substance wise.“

“I ate the Pitoon(Braised Duck). It is cooked in yellow curry with vegetables served over white rice. The spice level was mild. The food was delicious and the service was good. This restaurant is very popular. We didn't have to wait for a seat but there was a line as we left during lunch time on Sunday.“

“Really good sushi deals and to me the sushi is good, otherwise food is up to your individual taste. Prices are not bad. Their white sauce is watery mayonnaise. Someone must like it but noone I know likes it. Rice is ok, but I don't care for it. Food isn't bad at all, I guess I just compare it to yokoso and I love their rice and stuff. Smaller dine in area, can be hot inside, but i get hot easily so not sure. People are always nice.“

“Bushido has a level of food quality that is consistently and regularly, without fail, always always and forever SO GOOD. Anything I have ever gotten has been delicious, from the first bite to the final licking of my chopsticks just in case I missed anything. Thank you for being so great! I admit I am a bit addicted and get Bushido at least once a week, but why wouldn’t I? Sushi, hibachi, crab Rangoon, you name it, and it will be delicious on a level that you can only comprehend when you try yourself. DO IT!“

“The food was decent but order was wrong. I ordered 3 sushi rolls, a seaweed salad & chicken fried rice for carry out. Instead of a seaweed salad I got a bowl with iceberg lettuce topped with avocado (house salad maybe?). Instead of the chicken fried rice I received a teriyaki chicken bowl. It all tasted good except I was disappointed in the Angry Dragon Roll I received - it has mango in it but the mango in the roll was so under ripe you couldn’t even tell what it was & it was very hard. I ordered this on a Wednesday night and it was dead inside when I picked it up. If I give them another chance I’ll definitely be checking the order before walking out with it.“
