Fairly good Thai food, not the best curry I’ve ever had, needed more heat. Added more pepper flakes and got better. My Husband’s chicken satay was dry. Need to marinate chicken and not overcook. Portions were nice. Salad and ginger dressing was fresh, but not the best ginger dressing I’ve ever tried.
We absolutely love this place! The food is always amazing, and the service is outstanding every single time. We ordered the gyozas and the chicken Pad Thai, and both were absolutely delicious. One of my favorite things is the beautiful Thai artwork and decor throughout the restaurant—it makes the whole experience feel so special. You can tell they put so much care into every detail. Thai Elephants Restaurant on James Island offers a welcoming atmosphere and delicious Thai cuisine. The menu features a variety of dishes, including crab wonton and fried gyoza as appetizers, and popular entrees like drunken noodle, pineapple fried rice, pad see ew, and red curry. The pineapple chicken curry with rice noodles is also a standout, with a perfect balance of pineapple and curry flavors. The restaurant lets guests customize the spiciness level of dishes, with options from 0 to 5, and even serves spice on the side for mixing. The Thai bubble tea is very good and generously sized. The food arrives quickly, and the staff is eager to please. The chairs and tables are well-thought-out, and real flowers in vases add a nice touch. Thai Elephants is a hidden gem that is sure to please, with many return visits likely. Customers praise the exceptional food, top-notch service, and reasonable prices, making it the best Thai food in Charleston.
