“This is a roadside converted RV with their smoker outside. The sides of okra and vinegar slaw were great. So were the hush puppies. The meat was a little dry for my taste but had great flavor. Seating is outside under a covered area with ceiling fans for when it's hot.”
“Lovely store! The owner was very nice. Lots of cool gifts and food products. I bought some hot sauce, and the owner warned me not to buy the Carolina Reaper as it would burn your tongue. We also got some boiled peanuts, and they were perfect, not mushy but not to firm. Worth a stop if you drive buy.”
“My wife and I were in the area and decided to have a light lunch at this winery. The 5 star rating says it all. Wonderful outdoor view on their balcony . Started with a bottle of Chardonnay which was excellent ( we ended up buying 2 extras for take away) we enjoyed a 3 cheese platter selection accompanied by. Breadsticks, crackers , olives and grapes. We also ordered two bowls of a delicious roasted tomato soup. Simply a delightful and relaxing lunch. We will return”
“Told by family we had to try this place and boy did it live up to the hype. Delightful food with a great message behind it, everything we had was top notch. Highly recommend visiting when there is live music, really added to the experience. Service was extremely friendly and fun on top of it all. Lastly their cocktail selection was the cherry on top. A must try!”
“First time at Tandem. Lunch with old friends. I had the savory Club crêpe. I will definitely return to try out their sweet crêpes. Convenient to the Swamp Rabbit Trail, so there are a lot of hikers and cyclists there for lunch.March 20, 2024. Met friends and had the sausage potato crepe. Delicious.”
“Every time we ride up the swamp rabbit trail to Travelers Rest we stop here and grab a quick beer to rehydrate. Place is always serving a good mix of beers and other refreshing drinks.”
“I absolutely love this place. The service is Great. The food is amazing. Especially the chicken cheese steak. And the Pizza is out of this world. Fir some people it is a drive. Let me tell you. It is well worth the drive to dacusville. They are closed on Sunday. Be sure to call ahead and order if you plan on going through the drive through. Otherwise. It is a bit of a wait.”
“This place is amazing. We came for a bday dinner w 10 girls...I could see how this place even better with having dinner or drinks outside when it gets warm.. we still managed to take great pictures. I put 4 for service only be cause I and my friends asked how much was a bottle of wine just be cause most of us has been drinking the same rose by the glass and we wanted a bottle. Asked 4 different times and we never got a response. I don't get why such a big secret.. we still got a bottle. FOOD had amazing taste , we all loved it! I'm putting few pictures.”
“I love this place! Their food is good, and so is the coffee! The place is very eclectic, and I love supporting local businesses, it’s not like anywhere else in travelers rest. I love the artsy feel to it. Definitely recommend for brunch. The servers are really awesome and always are super positive:) def check it ”
“I have not eaten there in years. Only because its usually closed by the time I go through the area.I used to eat there often as a small child with my grandmother.”
“Stopped by here on a whim while visiting the area, super glad we did! Excellent coffee (both the pour over and lattes) and tasty bagels with a really cozy atmosphere. Definitely will come back when we're next in the area!”
“Very friendly establishment with delicious food! I had a chili cheese burger with baked beans and potato salad. The cheese burger was thick, juicy, and the chili was spot on! The baked beans were out of this world good. Definitely ”
“I was passing through the Greenville area on my way home to Atlanta and stopped by for some dinner. The beef pho was soooooo good, I had to order another bowl to take home with me. The owners were so friendly! Highly recommended!”
“Amazing!! The Cortado was perfect my rule of thumb is if a coffee shop can make a perfect Cortado they are approved in my book! They also made my wife an amazing lavender latte!!Also the debit machine wast working and I had no cash so the cashier insisted that she will cover our drinks! So nice!!! Of course we will be back!!”
“Ordered the pear salad and it was delicious! Staff was very friendly and accommodating, food was brought out promptly... and no trip to Sidewall is complete unless you order breadsticks. They did not disappoint, fantastic as always!”
“I have to start out by saying this place brings you back to your southern roots from the moment you walk in the door. Such a cool spot with local artists painting on the wall and some really old and neat decor. I have had their breakfast here several times and their Driver omelette is amazing. Today we went for lunch and heard that they are famous for their tomato pie. After trying it, I can definitely see why!!! It is a quiche baked into a flakey pie crust (like chicken pot pie) with sliced oven roasted homegrown tomatoes seasoned to perfection. This is the best thing I have ordered from here by far. I had Mac and cheese which was ok but their collared greens and sweet potato casserole were great! The servers are great with fast southern style service that makes you feel like you are part of the family. If you are wanting a great breakfast or lunch with amazing food and people, The Hungry Drover is the place to be! Make sure before you leave, you buy a homemade cinnamon roll that is so sweet and fresh and the size of a dinner plate. Highly recommend”
“Great staff. Delicious food. Clean and colorful premises. Northern Greenville County is blessed to have Monte Alban right here! A delightful spot to drop by for lunch or dinner.”
“Chicora Alley is our favorite restaurant in Travelers Rest. We love everything that we have tried. Grouper sandwich, Quesadillas, Grouper and Jerk Shrimp Street Tacos, and then there is the incredible deserts. Chocolate Cynpot and Key Lime Pie are the only two we have tried and they were perfect deserts. They also offer a great children's menu and a huge assortment of drinks on the menu. Chicora Alley is a must! Enjoy!”
“Gene, the chef, is not only talented but also a real gentleman. Renee, the maitre d', is so warm and accommodating. This is more than a very good restaurant - it is a community.”
“What a beautiful gem! This was an accidental find and what a find it is! They are so friendly and cool. First, there was a live Jazz singer recording, free hot soup and cabatta bread and the beer selections were so wide and delicious.”
“One of my favorite pizza places! The owner and employees are very friendly and they have AMAZING brownies that the own bakes. 10/10 would recommend the pizza and baked ”
“Amazing experience. Spoke with Andrew the brewer for a while and really got to appreciate his passion for making quality beer. Out of towners but will 100% come back”
“I've been a loyal patron of Sushi Yama for years, and it never ceases to amaze me that such a quaint town like Travelers Rest could be home to the finest sushi in South Carolina. My visits to Sushi Yama have been marked by their signature Omakase experience, for which I give the chefs a 24-hour notice. While there's a starting limit of $120 per person, the investment is absolutely worthwhile. The delicacies, imported directly from Japan, are a testament to the authenticity and quality.Expect to be wowed by both the cuisine and the unique dining experience – it's like having your personal chef for an evening. Ricky and the team of extraordinary sushi chefs have introduced something truly special to Greenville. This experience is made for sharing, and I take pleasure in bringing friends along to enjoy the culinary journey.”
“This is my GO-TO for Eggplant Parmigiana. The meal comes with salad garlic bread and spaghetti and is so big I always share it with my son for a great dinner to enjoy when work has been busy. We usually do Drive-Thru and the girl at the window is always delightful. When we dine-in, the service is stellar as well. Everyone who works there has a friendly smile and it makes you want to come back again and again.”
“Nice patio for outdoor eating. Tacos ? yummy as usual. Waitress was VERY nice, brought some water for our pup and was VERY understanding about giving him his own space. They were a bit short handed, but she warned us ahead of time and Nikki handled the added pressure as the professional person she is, smiled through it. Another great meal.”
“We love Wellborn Winery. We been visiting them for years. They just get better and better. I love that it is small comfy place in the woods. So relaxing . And we get to know the owners/ creators of the great wines. They make you feel like family. I just visited yesterday and ask for their Old Vine Zin that I saw on their website. The Primitive wine is awesome! It is one of the best ever! They better keep this one. Best to Deb and Tony!”
“OMGOODNESS... this place rocks, the staff and let's talk about these two hotdogs I just got from there. THEY WAS DELICIOUS.. And the staff was so very welcoming. Most definitely my new spot for lunch!!!”
“After a long morning of hiking, we were starving and so glad we found this place! It's a very small and cute diner and as soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by a very friendly staff and were seated right away. The first thing that caught my attention was their wide variety of food for being such a small place. I asked the waitress about their chicken salad sandwich and she was overly excited about how good it was so I had to give it a try. Perfect combination of mayonnaise and seasoning but they threw a little something different with some sweet chopped onions and it was phenomenal! I had never had chicken salad with onions but it really brought the sandwich together with their garden fresh tomatoes and just the right amount of lettuce. I paired it with their potato salad and wow it was great! My wife ordered the fried buffalo chicken and it was a massive pounded out chicken breast golden fried with a very good buffalo sauce on it. She had the sweet potato fries and they were thick and hand cut. My kids ordered burgers who both finished every bit and said they were really good. If you are near Dupont State Park and hungry you really have to stop by. We want to go back because they have so many items to choose from and everything looked great!”
“We ate dinner one night. The people were friendly and helpful. The food was great. They are not open all day every day, so check the times before you go. We will definitely return to get more of their food. We really enjoyed the food we ordered.”
“We were driving through the area and stopped here for a coffee (and a pup cup). The staff were extremely friendly and it is dog friendly. They made our dog a pup cup with whipped cream and treats. I ordered an iced coffee and black and it was really good. I may order a seasonal drink next time. I highly recommend this coffee shop. It is just right off the road and has a great atmosphere.”
