And although I live in Charlotte, please know that EVERY time I come to Columbia from now on, I WILL make a trip here! I ended up getting four different kinds of cake, and ALL of them were AH-MAZING!!! 10/10 I TOTALLY RECOMMEND!“

“First time visiting, was nice to have parking right beside the building and not have to negotiate parking on the street. Cute little bakery cafe in a brick strip mall. Few people having a coffee on the patio area. Everything looked so delicious! House made breads, cookies, cakes, and fresh brewed coffee. Will have to come back for lunch, the sandwiches looked so good. Grabbed a bunch of cookies for some client gifts and some lemon bars for me 😏. The staff was so friendly and helpful with all the different options they had freshly made that day. Will surely visit again!“

They’re literally just cookie dough, but I do like how they have that cookie dough feeling.“

“On 10/4/25 we placed an order for our 11 yr old daughter (30 minis) to take to school for her BETA Club. To make a long story short the employee working that night didn't want to bake the cookies and tried to cancel the online order. Manager got involved after we left the store and promised the cookies to us the same night. Sent a family member to pick the cookies up since we don't live near the store. Thinking the cookies were lovely like they usually are she didn't check them. They looked raggedy and I guess that employee didn't like being forced to do her job. Contacted the manager with a picture of the mess & was directed back to the store. New day, new staff. I was greeted by Josie & Oliver who proved to be amazing young adults. They handled the situation like true professionals. I went in feeling let down and unappreciated as a customer. When I left I was happy and smiling. Thank you to the manager, Josie & Oliver for making right what was once wrong. To the female who tried to steal my joy & break the spirit of an 11 yr. old, customer service is an art form and you do not possess the skills required. Customer service is for those who care and obviously you don't. Hopefully the next time we visit Crumbl you won't be there because you definitely can not help me with anything.“

“I had attempted to eat here a few times but it was when school was in session in the line was out the door. Today was my lucky day. I came by just after the breakfast crush and was able to place my order to go. The staff was efficient and the owner made sure my order was correct. “This place was nicely decorated, clean atmosphere, and great employees. I was greeted by a female employee with a friendly voice and a lovely smile when I walked in the door. The selection of donuts are very unique. I ordered 2 funnel cakes and they were made to order and delicious! While waiting for my order, I saw they have a couple of food selections so I chose the Philly cheesesteak and fries. The bread on the sandwich was fresh and soft. The cheesesteak had great flavor, the meat was so tender that my teeth sank into the sandwich like a hot knife through butter. The fries were seasoned perfectly.
The donuts were so beautiful like a work of art. You can tell the restaurant prides itself on presentation. They tasted as described.

“This little bakery is AMAZING!!! For those who remember The Copper Door of years gone by Crust Bakehouse occupies a space on the premises. Walking in the door and seeing the eclectic ambience of the bakery evokes memories of "Here are friends and all is well." You just have to go and see for yourself! We had a variety of breads, scones, brownies, baggettes, croissants, etc. Everything was perfect. The pecan tart was not too sweet like so many pecan tarts or pies. It had whole pecans and a light delicate crust. The whole grain bread was light and airy and sliced perfectly. The miso blondie with walnuts was cooked and then a light coating of chocolate was spread around the edges. Need I say more? We had 3 different scones . . chocolate chip scone, 3 cheese scone and sausage & cheese scone. This was the first time I have ever eaten a scone that was not hard and dry! They were loaded with flavor and made my morning coffee so much better. And yes. . . I had put them in the frig. for the next morning. They microwaved just fine and were flaky and delectable. Can you tell I am a big fan of this bakery? Oh . . let.s don't forget Baker Zack who is the essence here. I could go on but you just have to find your own favorite. Thank you Baker Zack!“

“While visiting my friend for Christmas in the Columbia area, she got a desire for gingerbread cookies. After a Google search we decided on Kudzu bakery despite it being a considerable distance away. We called first to verify they had gingerbread cookies on hand and they kindly offered to put some aside for us. We browsed the market when we got there and it is a very lovely store. The staff was also friendly. We bought 8 cookies and it was $22. When we got home we were shocked to find small, cute, but identical, mass produced cookies. They were dry, crunchy, and tasteless. They were not made on site and Kudzu Bakery should be ashamed of selling such a product. $2.50 a cookie! I wouldn't pay $2.50 a box for them in a major grocery market. This was my first and last visit.

ADDENDUM: I did take the owner up on her offer of a refund. They cheerfully complied and I'm very happy about it.“

“We have tried the personal and full size bundt cakes in chocolate, red velvet and marble. All have generous amounts of the amazing cream cheese icing which we absolutely love even though the cakes themselves are super moist and delicious enough to eat without icing. We kept them in the refrigerator for up to 5 days and they were as delicious as the first day.“

“I just want to offer a thank you to the gourmet shop for y'all's help today. My wife and I have eaten here for years and love it. So when it came time for our daughter's baptism this morning when we found out the Gourmet Shop offered a catering menu it became a no brainer for us. The catering options on a per head basis for 12 people were an incredible value. Our guests, many of whom do not live downtown now want to make it a point to visit the restaurant. Thank you again for making it easy for two parents of a 6 month old to throw a great party for our family.“
