“I went to Google Maps and typed in ‘donuts’ and this is where I landed. I wasn’t expecting much, but was completely blown away by the deliciousness of each and every donut. This place is very similar to Apple Donuts in Simpsonville that moved to Mauldin. The Apple Fritter was next level. Being a fritter guy, you cannot go wrong with this selection. It’s probably the best fritter I’ve ever had. The Bavarian Cream (both the chocolate glazed/glazed) and Lemon Filled were next level; they’re filled generously. They’re a similar style to Krispy Kreme, but way better. Your first trip here won’t be your last. They have a 4.9 rating for good reasons. It’s definitely worth the trip.“
“I went in on a Saturday morning. The place wasn’t too busy. Service for donuts was very quick. I got a half dozen and two breakfast sandwiches on croissants. The wait for the croissants wasn’t bad but don’t expect them to be out super fast. The donuts are filled on site and there are a variety of flavors. All very good. The breakfast sandwiches were great. Pricing is very fair. We’ll definitely be back!“
“Our server “Ducky” was amazing. She helped us order a “shareable” breakfast for my husband & me as we headed out for a long bike ride. We wanted something filling but not too heavy. Will ask for her next time we’re back. Also, super cute bunny ears for Easter ?“
“Though situated perfectly in a manufactured craftsman community, any other place may feel inauthentic…but for all the innate uppity-ness of high money, lululemon-wearing, Stanley toting, DILK patrons, Chestnut is a real coffee shop and very good one at that. Perfect Americano and every sweet drink is always good.“
“I love coming here to get the sausage egg and cheese croissant. I use to go to QT for it but since I discovered Java has one of their own I ALWAYS opt to come here instead. I LOVE that they fold the cheese into the egg so it’s super melty sooooo delicious. Coffee is good too I like the vanilla latte. All of their lunch sandwiches are worth getting too, the Reuben and tuna melt are my favorites. The staff are always super nice and polite and the restaurant is always clean. 10/10 recommendation coming here“
“We love to travel back roads and find unique places to eat. This place fits the bill! An old mill house turned into a cafe. The pictures on the wall tell the local stories. We had the pimento cheese sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich. Both were delicious. You have a choose of breads and we selected the croissant and the hearty grain. The sandwiches come with chips and a side of what they call crudités (fresh vegetables served with a side of ranch). The staff was extremely friendly and answered our many questions. If you find yourself traveling this road, stop here for sure.“
“We goofed on our timing and arrived right as Gio's closed. The staff, however, were extremely courteous and accommodating, and invited us in. While I don't recommend doing this, it highlights the level of customer service they provide. We left with gelato, sorbet, and pastry treats, all of which were quite satisfying. I hope to get back soon to try the coffee and examine their Italian Market wares. We'll just schedule a more appropriately-timed visit.Be aware that the shop is small. It's a to-go business, it appears, rather than a sit-down location for gelato and coffee. They are only a block from the benches of a small park, however, and the Main Street is one of those that people will want to walk while eating a treat.“
