“Amber was absolutely incredible. It was me and my boyfriend’s first time here and she made it very welcoming. She was extremely kind even though I couldn’t make up my mind on certain dishes and was very patient with me. She also has some GREAT recommendations that were greatly appreciated. Thanks Amber, you’re the best! Will be coming back and will be sitting with amber!“

“The food was amazing ! The fried rice was on point . I had gotten some chinese’s food a few weeks ago in five forks near my home and was very dissatisfied. The rice was plain and brown with no pork, onions , They got so cheap that they dont even leave out condiments any more . This plastic has restored my faith in what chinese’s food should taste like.“

“I’ve lived here for 24 years, and tonight was the first time I’d ever been to (or even heard of ) Shanghai Tokyo. I’m from NY and was lucky to experience some of the best Chinese out there. Y’all...this place is hands down THE BEST Chinese I’ve ever had in Greenville! I took a bite of each of my dishes and found myself talking aloud (to myself) about how good it was and how happy I am! 🤣🤦♀️“

“There was a quick turnaround on the order. Food was good. The order-taker was not friendly. The store interior was not very inviting.“

“Honestly the best Chinese food in the area in my opinion.
I’ve tried most of the small locally owned places around Simpsonville and Mauldin, and none of them deliver consistently good food like Chang An.
I usually just get honey or sesame chicken and it always turns out good. It’s never unfresh or drenched in sauce like at some other places.
The people seem nice as well. I’m happy to give Chang An my business.“

“Some of the best Chinese have eaten outside of Red Bowl on S Pleasantburg. I don't review places often, unless they're very very bad or they're really good. The food was outstanding. I couldn't believe how many pieces of crab rangoon I got in one order, and there was enough in two orders of fried rice for six people probably or four hungry teenagers, haha. The chicken was still juicy and hot in the rice was perfectly cooked. The flavor was amazing, and I don't know if they used MSG but I couldn't wait to get back to it after my first attempt. It's a small place in the atmosphere is fine but I wouldn't say that it's anything special. The service we were told 10 minutes and it took 15 and we never really got a smile or anything special when it came to service. I definitely would come back here for the fried rice and the crab rangoon, and I've heard from family that the orange, sesame, and general tso's chicken is pretty great. Best in Simpsonville probably.“

“This is a favorite in Greenville. The inside isn’t huge but has a great atmosphere. Large portions, love the food. They do a great job. A couple times our takeout was incorrect, so check before you leave if taking it to go. Otherwise I could eat here multiple times a week.“

“The only real issue I have with this restaurant is the fact that 3 days after the ice storm there was still an exceptional amount of ice in the parking lot making it quite dangerous for customers to exit and then re-enter their vehicles but the food was amazing and service was great“

“This is your typical hole in the wall Chinese take out place but with THE BEST FOOD EVER. I have 2 orders I go back and forth between. 1) chefs special of pork lo mien or 2) an order of fried dumplings, an egg roll, and a small egg drop soup.
I give it a 4 on service just because the interaction is limited to picking up my food but I've never had an issue with anyone at the counter.
it gets a 3 on atmosphere just because there's not much to it but hey, I'm taking my food to go so I dont care how it looks on the inside as long as it's clean.
I travel about 25 minutes to get food from here when I am craving Chinese's food because it's just that good. Dont pass on this place. 10/10“

“China and Hibachi is by far the best Chinese takeout spot around. The food is consistently excellent, always fresh, flavorful, and hot. The egg rolls are absolutely to die for, and the rest of the menu never disappoints. On top of that, the staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality Chinese food and great service!“
