Decided around 9:30pm that I wanted some fresh warm cookies. First thought is Insomnia Cookies. Drive from Simpsonville to downtown to grab a few for the family. Walk up to the store and lights are out, but person is inside behind the counter. Pull on door and it’s locked. Person inside comes to door and says that they are closed. Kicking out a blind man with a service dog. Then calls the cops? Apparently, the boss forgot to train their staff on Federal Laws and Requirements. Let alone, about human compassion.
It’s a hot mess. An hour wait for 6 cookies, doors locked and sign indicated they’re taking online orders only (not a problem in theory - we stood outside, ordered, and explored while we were waiting) but wait time was double what was estimated.
