“I can’t say enough good things about Southern Palate Catering. We used their services for our wedding in April 2022. Most of the compliments we received from the wedding were about the food! We worked with Denise, the chef and owner of Southern Palate. She always got back to me promptly and was always willing to meet with me face to face anytime I needed during the planning process. My husband and I always dreamed of having Mexican food at our wedding. Denise already had an option on the catering menu for Mexican stations and it was just what we were looking for! They homemake everything, even the tortilla chips (which were amazing), and were able to accommodate my gluten allergy with anything I wanted. Denise made sure all of her employees knew I was gluten free and they served me and my husband the whole night so that we didn’t have to worry about taking the time to get our own food. They even packed us a to go box full of every food item at the wedding so that we were able to eat at our hotel after. While we were at the ceremony, the food was delivered on time, they set the pans into the steam tables for us. It was delicious! EVERYONE was commenting on how good EVERYTHING tasted. We had ordered Mediterranean chicken, pork loin, roasted garden mixed veggies, roasted asparagus, truffle mac and cheese, rice pilaf. The sauces and gravies were smooth and richly flavored. The presentation (even in the pans) was very appealing. Job well done! My surprise is that nothing had dried out, or become soggy, all the meat was tender and juicy, the veggies were not overcooked. The quantity was almost double what was needed. Lots of happy leftovers, there was a feast the next day too. “I was the lucky recipient of the catered dinner with Chef Nico and Assistant Darcy last Friday night, and I'm not sure how to send enough of a rave review worthy of the food and service we received. EVERYTHING was over-the-top (not to mention a total surprise that was a miracle in itself with my husband who can't hide anything with his enthusiasm). I've had the privilege of dining at some of the world's best restaurants and have eaten some of the finest meals prepared by both professional and home chefs, so I can with credibility say that this curated meal was the best I've ever had, hands down. I get chill bumps just thinking about it (and I'll be dreaming about it until my last day).

The set up was EFFORTLESS for us as the hosts and getting to interact with and witness Chef Nico's preparation and execution of the mouth-watering, unique dishes was another bonus. EVERY dish was absolutely perfect with flavor combinations and sauces literally causing our guests to moan in delight (several "When Harry met Sally" moments). Our guests are still raving about the meal, Chef Nico and Darcy. I only wish they had been able to join us for each course as their personalities made the evening perfect.

Thank you for making this epic dining experience a possibility and my special birthday celebration the best that could ever be. You and your associates knocked it out of the park, and we will be recommending you to ALL of our friends who want THE BEST. I'm still shaking my head in disbelief at the entire evening – I truly thought I had seen the pinnacle in my life of fine dining before, but this blew me away.
