“I’m obsessed with center street eats. Friendly staff, amazing food and great prices. I love to come here for their lunches during work. Great atmosphere! I haven’t had anything I didn’t like yet. So glad I just moved out here and looking forward to ordering their meal preps!Parking: Parking is limited but I have yet to not be able to find a spot.Dietary restrictions: They’ve really helped to accommodate my bell pepper allergy. “We had my son and new daughter in law’s rehearsal dinner at Market on Main in a private room called Table. Let me just say the whole experience was amazing starting with planning it out with John and Ressa! I had searched and searched for the perfect place to host the dinner and got road blocks everywhere I looked! Not so with John! Every worry I had was immediately relieved! Anything I wanted was completely taken care of and not with a hefty add on charge! John even connected me with people he uses that are reasonably priced that could help me with things such as accommodations, florists, etc. And the food? Well let me just say it was amazing! We had the Caribbean Cookout with Crab dip as an appetizer! All of my guests seemed extremely impressed! The staff and bartenders were fantastic and so kind and professional! I just wish I had found Market on Main before all of the headaches of trying to manage everything myself! Thanks, John and Ressa for a memorable event! I couldn’t ask for anything to be any better!“
“My husband and I were enjoying a drink on the patio outside of Simply Jam’n Boards as they were closing. The owner came out and gave us a free petite charcuterie box so that it didn’t go to waste. She didn’t know it was his birthday and our first date night since having a little one. It was DELICIOUS and made the evening extra special. Highly recommend! The diversity in the box was delectable.“
“I'm from Charlotte but I'm in Hickory often for work and I love jamaican food. I ordered from them 2 days in a row. The reason for 4 stars vs 5 is the first day I ordered the pork tacos and oxtails. The pork tacos were the absolute best I've ever had. Even with them being delivered they were piping hot and sooooo flavorful. The oxtails were a little tough and I wasn't crazy about the cabbage. The tacos more than made up for it. The second day I ordered the pork tacos again as well as the jerk chicken and this time the tacos was not like the day before. The pork wasn't pulled like the day before and it was nowhere near as hot and fresh. The jerk chicken was good though. 4 stars because consistency isn't there but I'm sure I'll order again to give them a 3rd try. Overall not bad.“
