“Fried Rice Worth the Return Trip
Currently ranking as my #1 or #2 fried rice in Greenville, this spot really surprised me. The portion size for the main plates is a little off for the price, but the real value comes from the rest of the combination platter. Around $12–$13 for soup, an appetizer, and a full meal. Fairly good for 2025.
The food overall was great, but the fried rice is what truly stands out. Bold, salty, and loaded with extras, it puts the usual “rice and a few peas” approach to shame. The interior feels outdated, but the kindness of the staff more than makes up for it. I’ll be back for the fried rice alone.. it’s that good from my personal preference.“

“We eat there a lot. The food is excellent and the wait staff are are really great! The place is ALWAYS cold! Winter and Summer. We ask them to change it a little but by the time they do, you will be ready to leave!“

“We had a wonderful time with our friends! We came on a Monday night after rehearsal and there was a wonderful waitress named Alexis. She did a great job of taking care of this. Brought out our phone promptly and was super welcoming! If you guys come down to Olive Garden Laurens Road you will definitely have a great time because you will know Alexis will have you in good hands!“

“Update:
I am highly impressed with how this situation and we were handled. Shout out to Chris who is over 13 stores and made sure this became a teaching moment and a moment to sit down face to face with everyone involved. If only we could do this in the world we would be in a better place as the human race. Panera will not be losing us as customers and I'm sure all the stores he is over will find themselves better because of his leadership. I decided to keep the original review because how a company handle issues shows character and builds trust for the brand
THIS is what passes for “customer service” at Panera Bread on Woodruff Rd????
My husband walked in to pick up a PREPAID order of bagels for his job. This was an order he stepped in to grab because someone else couldn’t, and somehow ended up being treated like a suspect instead of a customer.
And let’s be very clear about how this unfolded:
The first employee he spoke to had no issue at all.
He gave the name, and everything was moving exactly as it should.
Then an older white female stepped in and suddenly everything changed.
Suddenly he was a “scammer.”
Suddenly he needed to “call the person who ordered it.”
Suddenly the proof in his hand wasn’t enough.
Same MAN DRESSED IN A SHIRT WITH THE COMPANY LOGO. Same order. Same proof.
Different reaction.
This handome, beautiful spirited, kind BLACK AND PUERTO RICAN man who always wants the best for everyone is a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, grandson, friend, mentor, leader, a man of God, and a pastor. His reputation of service to others is phenomenal! He is the kind of man who speaks to everyone, holds doors for others, and will help a stranger without hesitation.
And even in that moment of being profiled over something already PAID FOR he did not get loud, did not get rude, did not become angry( how yall LOVE TO STEREOTYPE PEOPLE OF COLOR)
He bit his tongue! Stayed calm! Showed restraint!
And waited while your employee decided whether he was “worthy” of receiving an order that was already paid for!!!!
That right there is the problem.
Because when a man can do EVERYTHING right, come prepared, be respectful, be calm and YET STILL be treated like he doesn’t belong...
That’s not confusion.
That’s not policy.
That’s bias! That’s profiling! That’s racism!
Panera Bread please explain to us why did one employee see a customer, and another see a threat?
What kind of environment allows that kind of bias to show up so comfortably?
And what are you going to do to make sure this doesn’t keep happening?
Because today it was my husband a man who chose grace when he didn’t have to!
But let’s be clear 🗣🎙 HE SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN PUT IN THAT POSITION TO BEGIN WITH!
DO BETTER! BecAUSE HE DESERVES BETTER! WE ALL DO!
SICK OF IT!“

“We took out 7 year old for his birthday dinner, the experience started off great. We showed up and we're seated on time, waitress came by and got drink orders and that's when the night slowed down. It took quite some time between ordering drinks and ordering food, the chef didn't do anything spectacular but the food tasted fine and he didn't take longer than the average. Between the chef starting and finishing our waited didn't come by one time so I was out of drink pretty much from start to finish of the cooking. When she did come by I ask for a refill and she went to get that and the checks. She came back by a few minutes later and didn't have my drink and the checks were all mixed up. After that I never saw her again, the manager(possibly owner) came by and said the checks were up front. She made it seem like that was normal but I've never been to a Japanese style restaurant where you doing get your checks at the table and have to go to the hostess stand to see them and pay. We didn't get a birthday song. And no drinks to go, thankfully we did get white sauce. I will be hesitant to go back.“

“This is a nice quiet location! The layout is slightly different that other stores but it’s still cozy and comfortable.
The restrooms are clean and spacious. Service was slightly delayed, they didn’t have enough employees probably,
But food was still served within a reasonable amount of time and it was delicious.“
