After having lukewarm beers and no taste tacos at El jefe the night before this place was great!! Our server Jess was super nice too!! PS Ditch the uniform idea! This place is casual, laid back and comfortable. All the servers looked put together and neat with what they had on! Keep your employees happy.“

“If you are planning a small intimate wedding ceremony & reception in downtown Charleston, Upstairs at Midtown is just your place. While planning our impromptu destination wedding- time allowed for only ONE visit, and one visit was all it took to know it was our spot! From the exceptional customer service and continuous communication with Sofie and her team- it was as if I was there everyday at the venue helping them prepare for our special day. Having to forgo the opportunity of a food tasting, we were a little apprehensive but let me tell you! It was amazing! Our guests ranted and raved about the food all night and for weeks to come. From the hand passed apps, displayed tables, and un-traditional tapas style affair, Upstairs at Midtown gave our guests so much to talk about. Our guests as well as ourselves, were touched at how attentive the staff was. Drinks were always full, and bellies were always fed. They really brought the “family” essence to the evening, and it was truly magical. The newly updated bridal suite on the 3rd floor was not there when we toured the venue and to see it there, day of was awesome! A nice place to slip away and get a moment to breathe, before during and after your night of celebration is simply another detail not missed. We would truly relive the night over again if we could. “Chef Chip prepared dinner for us on two nights while we were staying at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort: a plated meal and one served buffet style. Both meals were absolutely delicious. The layers and combinations of flavors were extraordinary and akin to any 5-star restaurant we’ve dined at. Chip worked with us to created menus that all 6 of us would enjoy and we certainly did. The food preparation and service were exceptional and at the end of the evening the kitchen was pristine. When we come back here we will certainly use his services again. I highly recommend using Pampered Palette.“
