“Knowing there was a big festival at riverfront, we went for brunch today and the bartender was excellent. We were recommended to go grab a pint and lunch. The bartender was super attentive, we were never in need, everything was on point, without asking (even water). The crowd was a vibe. Will definitely be back.“

“Went there yesterday with six friends. Although it was extremely busy, they found a seat for us in the back. We didn’t care where we sat and were thankful that they got us in rather quickly!
It’s a cute little place with some dynamite drink options and really yummy snacks! Simple but delicious and I can’t wait to go back and have that guacamole and the tacos again! My friend said the smash burger was one of the best he’s had. Great server was helpful with choosing a drink and the kitchen guys were slammed but still had a smile on their faces as we passed by to thank them on the way out.

“While I understand they were understaffed, service was lacking a lot of caffeine. Little to no explanation about the dishes, size or quantity. No sharing spoons/cutlery whatsoever until we dared ask. Missing drinks, menus, plates and napkins. Overpriced and somewhat tasty. Pork rice was delicious. Would’ve been helpful to know that the karaage (fried chicken) was only 3 pieces, since we were a group of four. What about telling us about it and maybe offering an extra piece for some extra $, or offering 2 orders instead. We ordered one of each and had to do some magic. I support small/local businesses so I’m not gonna hurt y’all’s rating, but I’d recommend some more dedication from servers to the tables or more information on the menu.“

Oh wait there it is, their Old Forester 100 proof black lable barrel pick!! The manager even shared a pour of their Larceny barrel pick. Looking forward to our upcoming Southern Regional Conference for Whiskey University soon, and we'll highly recommend stopping at Paddock and Whisky!“

“What a wonderful stay we had at the North Charleston Marriott!! Jessica at the front desk is absolutely incredible!! She was very sweet, professional and accommodating to all the guests…a true gem! Housekeeping also did a great job and we love that they even offer housekeeping since some hotels don’t in these post-Covid days. This hotel is in a great location, just off I-26, close to the outlet stores and restaurants, but far enough away from all the traffic in that area. Our room was a King Junior Suite and it was very spacious, with one and a half bathrooms, and a comfortable couch. Not a lot of drawer storage for clothes (2 small drawers in the desk & 1 under the safe), but there was plenty of room to hang clothes to the left of the closet, so it all worked out. You can also hang some things in the small armoire/closet, but the items hang front to back, so it’s a little difficult to access things. The safe was plenty roomy and the bath and bed linens were nice. The bed is softer than our bed at home, but we both slept pretty well. We loved the walk-in shower and the water pressure and temperature were truly great! The bathrooms had built-in night lights behind the mirrors and the bed had this really cool ambient lighting above/behind the headboard that could be turned on or off. Lots of extra seating in this room with several chairs and the L shaped couch. The tv selection was just “ok”, in part because several of the channels, such as HGTV, did not come in. The wifi worked well at times, but no so well at other times. The AC worked well and there were plenty of places to charge your electronic devices. We ate dinner at the restaurant and Kelly & Becca were our severs on different nights. The food at the restaurant, HC Provisions, was excellent!! We had the wings, the chicken and waffles, the Caesar salad and the housemaid chips and they were all excellent! This hotel seems to be a popular venue for events. There was one going on Saturday night and we noticed several business functions going on during our stay as well. Crystal and Sheila were in the M Club Lounge at breakfast time and they were both great and did a great job of keeping everything well stocked. The breakfast offered scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, yogurt, cereal, muffins and pastries, hot oatmeal and biscuits and gravy till 10am. During the rest of the day, you could pop in for coffee, water, sodas and juices as well as snacks such as chips and cookies. The evening offered hors d’oeuvres but the one night (Monday) we arrived at 7:20pm, everything was already being cleaned up, so I guess we missed it. The outdoor area offered a pool and two fire pit areas which would be great to sit and catch up with friends and family if you were here with a small group. We had such a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel and we would stay here again.“

“My son came home from deployment and I just wanted to take him out to have a nice dinner before he left which was the following day. So I took him to this restaurant and everyone treated us so very very nice. I highly recommend this restaurant the ambience is also very nice, however the waiter the maître d’ the manager waitresses, they all made the experience for me and my son amazing. I cannot wait to come back and just relax and enjoy the jazz music that was playing.“

“A true neighborhood dive bar in the best way. Small, simple food menu with recently upgraded pizza and a new oven — after a few drinks, my husband often orders the Supreme and it always hits the spot!
Karaoke every Friday and Saturday (plus a contest!) is always a blast, and they host a monthly paint-and-sip too. Pool tables, darts, and a couple arcade games keep things fun.
They truly support their people. We held my cancer benefit there, and the turnout and generosity meant so much. Friendly regulars, bartenders who know us by name (and our drinks), and a place that really shows up for its community. Exactly what a local dive bar should be.“

“I went to Chris's Place Bar for the band, but since it was a charity event it involved free food - I mean great food - and giveaways for those who purchased raffle tickets. It was a great time, nice people, great band, great outdoors section, etc. And no one cared that I didn't own a motorcycle or leather jacket.

“An outdoor venue to enjoy some great concerts. Some surprising artists for a small venue. A perfect datenight for us. Early dinner before 6pm shows. We use the ADA seating area. It actually has a better view of the stage than the GA area where people are sitting/laying on blankets. No folding chairs allowed. Small parking area. Handicap parking fills up quickly.“
