“I did have a couple things that I addressed with. I don’t know if it was ownership or just lead workers minor things one of which wasn’t necessarily company policy. They usually decline my request, but they chose the customer service. Customer is right idea and it probably cost them money, but I really appreciated that. They didn’t have to do what I was asking at all and I told them it’s no big deal. She said usually we don’t do this, but she went ahead and did it anyway. And I just really appreciated it. I repeated myself but it bears repeating. So I just wanted to give y’all a shout out say that I really enjoyed it. I had some not really complaints just issues and you handled it and I thank you. Wonderful experience. I highly recommend you check it out and I highly recommend you get the Fish Camp special.“

“5 stars for all that flavor!!!! The sweetest couple that has a passion and love for food opened a restaurant that's a must try. We ordered the curry chicken, oxtails, cabbage, green beans, rice/beans, candy yams and mac/cheese. It was all seasoned very well and we had leftovers. I can taste the love in every bite. The chef has mastered his craft! We will be back!

“2024 update:
After a recent visit I can say a lot has changed. The fried shrimp was the surprise standout dish we ordered. I'll probably try fried wings on my next trip. Orange chicken and Sesame chicken had good flavor but the chicken used was tough. Pork fried rice that came with each had no veggies besides onions and pork was tough, so average at best. Egg rolls were bland. They now accept credit but charge a fee for orders over $20.

The food is quite good, worth a try. Cash or check only - no credit cards accepted. The inside of the restaurant isn't in the best shape and the service is very similar to what I got when I was actually in China (which is to say not fantastic), but that makes this place all the more authentic to me. I suggest going once and getting it to go to compare to what you get elsewhere. China is another good Chinese option in the area.“

“The experience was “An Experience “!!! Everything was right: the customer service, vibe, cleanliness. The food and lemonade didn’t make no darn sense how soulful it was! Barbara our server was so sweet and again, they way their “process” is set up is superb. The staff color coded, hair nets and more. Such professionalism displayed and felt. We will be back!“

“The food was exceptional. The oyster bar must have been over whelmed because it took +/-40 minutes to get our dozen after our order was taken. We ordered a bottle of wine and it took 15-20 minutes to get that. The waiter never checked back to refil our wine or check on our food after it was delivered. Either he had too many tables or needs a little more training. Overall, above average experience and excellent food, cocktails, and wine.“

“My family and I experienced a wonderful dinner at Carabas on Washington Road in Augusta, GA this week. Not only was the food fantastic but so was our waiter, Kahleel. We can not say enough about how polite, attentitive and professional he was. He gave us the inpression that he enjoyed serving us. There are very, very few restaurant's in the area that have employees who have given us the service in which Kahleel did. My family and I would like his management to commend him on a job well done! “After work I decided to give Captain D a go. Got the three fish meal with french fries. It didn't disappoint it was very hot and good. The only thing is that the fish was a little on the salty side. But other than that it was a very good lunch

“My son and I went to the Washington Road location to eat and talk, where I was explaining to him how what we do affects others, some directly and some indirectly, when Ms. Tay served us our orders, she reiterated my point exactly without even knowing it… She was friendly and courteous, was attentive to all the diners and displayed great attitude, she even spoke some wisdom to my son!! The restaurant’s drive through was extremely busy Friday evening, Ms. Tay didn’t miss a beat, she had her headset on her head and still was attentive to the customers in the dining area!!! The restaurant was clean and everyone was served well! It’s good to know that people do care about what they do at work!! What you do matters! Be the change you want to see in the world!“

“One may have to wait for their food but I believe it's because they make it to order so it comes out hot and NOT cold (which I like). Food was good; however, one gets small portions for its sides. A lot of the sides are an additional charge so make sure you read the menu for up charges because it can surprise you. The staff at the drive through was nice.

Vegetarian options: Most of its sides besides the string beans.

Parking: Parking lot does have pot holes when exiting from the drive through.

Kid-friendliness: Does have a kids menu.“

“Upon arrival I was first told I don't have reservation. Then the confused host said you'll have to talk to my manager I can't say. Manager comes and tells me they don't do reservations. I showed my reservation from open table she says yes that's just like a waiting list. However it's not even that bc it didn't place us before the people that walked in when we did. As we didn't “join the waiting list” while waiting to talk to the manager about reservation that doesn't exist. I guess it's just for decoration.“
