This was our first time visiting here and the service was awesome. Everyone was super nice. Our waitress was very nice, and super helpful. She gave us some wonderful tips and suggestions. She suggested a beer that my hubby loved. We had the pimento cheese appetizer and I got the pulled pork and hash over rice. It was so good. Absolutely amazing bartender! BJ made me the BEST margarita—it was perfect! 🍹😍 On top of that, we found out we have the same birthday! 🎂🥳 Such a cool coincidence! Based on the reviews, Southbound Smokehouse- Riverside offers fantastic food and excellent service. The pulled pork and hash and rice is amazing, and some of the best mac and cheese at a restaurant can be found here. The BBQ sauces are delicious, and the food is rich, flavorful, and very affordable for the quality. The atmosphere is quaint, cozy, and warm, with lots of seating inside and out. The service is attentive and friendly, with servers like Mitchell and Ivie providing tremendous help and great suggestions. The manager Tiffany is excellent and ensures a top notch experience, showing engaged leadership. The southern hospitality is welcoming. While the bathroom can be a bit yucky when busy, the restaurant itself is beautiful and perfect for small dinners, gatherings, or a casual night out. It is a local spot in Augusta that comes highly recommended for anyone in the area.
