“This was our first time visiting here and the service was awesome. Everyone was super nice. Our waitress was very nice, and super helpful. She gave us some wonderful tips and suggestions. She suggested a beer that my hubby loved. We had the pimento cheese appetizer and I got the pulled pork and hash over rice. It was so good. I didn't even have to put sauce on it bc it was so flavorful. The waitress recommended the wings and oh my stars they were the best wings we've had in a long time. The were a 10 out of 10. So glad that we came here, and if we are in the area we will definitely come back. Only issue is the parking is not easy to find. They have free street parking but I'm told that it fills up quickly. If there is a lot or garage nearby we didn't see it.“

“I am usually there every Thursday. I always love talking to the lady's inside and shoot the breeze with the brothers outside! Great laid back and quiet atmosphere... I usually get the pulled pork, hash and rice with Mac and cheese. It NEVER fails that it is better each time. As a matter of fact, I am on my way now.“

“I tried this place before in the 1990s and I didn't like it. Today, i decided to give them another chance because people were saying the food has improved. I had the half slab barbecue ribs with hash and rice. The Ribs were so tender and I wish I had the recipe for the barbque sauce. The hash was excellent. The portion size was even enough for lunch the next day.
Well done. I'll be back for sure.“

“My uncle told my mother and I about the place so we decided to go. I can't eat spicy foods and everything I tried was great and flavored just perfect. I got so much on my plate I ate two times on it. My mother and I took my sister and she loved it also. We have decided not to cook for new years so we are hoping they will be opened New Year so we can go there.“

The food is bbq pork (you add your bbq sauce) and fried and roasted chicken today along w hash n rice then fried okra the best sweet boiled corn on the cob along w field peas w snaps Italian flat green beans Mac n cheese collard greens potato salad an choice of pickles Cole slaw fresh bread n butter and a few other items plus soft serve ice cream southern banana pudding and peach cobbler. Pay as you come in. $14-16 for lunch and the best service assisting w carrying drinks a plates and getting refills. They also give a senior discount. And they allow guns ( just keep em put away unless a real need arises). I’d recommend for an olde southern quiet meal even if in a lunch rush. You won’t leave hungry that’s for sure.“

“I love the strawberry & pecan salad and it comes with a tasty raspberry vinaigrette. Sometimes I order it to go with the Parmesan Crusted Chicken. So tasty I forgot to take a picture. It's tasty whether ordered online or dine in, it's always served fresh with bread.“
