“We've stopped at the Old Kitchen many times. Usually at Night of a Thousand Candles for wine while walking the grounds, and perhaps a giant chocolate chip cookie. Today we had the roast beef and provolone sandwich and a Caesar chicken wrap. They were fantastic! Both were freshly made with top-notch ingredients. Iced tea went well with them, the service was excellent, and the garden view was extra special.“

“Stumbled across this little bakery heading back from the beach. I wasn’t in the mood to fight crowds or anything heavy to eat. I just wanted an iced cup of coffee/latte & bagel. What I got was exceptional service, cold latte, and delicious chicken salad on a flaky croissant. The extra politeness of the young girl who waited on me was a pleasant touch. If I’m ever in the area again, I’d certainly stop again. It’s very rare to get a great drink, sandwich and even better customer service all in one quick stop.“

“Courtyard Cafe is a small walk up window in Brookgreen Gardens. They have a pretty good selection of sandwiches. We've tried their pulled pork, turkey sandwich, and hotdogs. Everything we've tried has been good. There are tables in a shaded area to the side of the courtyard with restrooms nearby“
