Pawleys Island Tavern Reviews
I never write reviews this warranted it. The service was horrible. I’ve never felt so unwelcome at a place. If you don’t want to wait tables don’t. Never in my live have I ever had such a rude waitress. First and last time I’ll ever go there and it’s to bad it’s such a cool place. Live music and cool atmosphere.
Beautiful people, experience, music 🎵 and always (everytime) an awesome/fun time. Best music in Pawleys. You don’t believe me? Have an experience you’re self. GREAT good, ask there soup special. At least order the pizza 🍕
Very disappointed; my first time and had heard so many good things. Not busy and got a table immediately. Ready to order a bottle of wine and had asked to sample a couple wines (one little shot glass). Waiter brought one sample and never returned to take our orders! After a 15 minute wait, we picked up and left. What was that all about? disappointed to say the least; will not be back.

Pawleys Island Tavern is a delightful spot known for its excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The outdoor dining area is particularly impressive, earning a 5-star rating and providing a cool atmosphere for guests. This casual dining location is a popular locals' hangout, serving good food and drinks in a rustic, charming setting tucked under live oak trees. Guests are greeted with pleasant smiles and can enjoy a relaxed experience both inside and outside. While it may be a bit hard to find, it is located just behind an ice cream shop, marked by a green mailbox with PIT on it. The tavern is famous for its burgers and pizza, making it a favorite among locals. The music adds to the fun, with live bands performing outside, creating a warm and inviting environment. Some minor issues have been noted, such as the kitchen opening at 4:30 and the absence of malted vinegar for homemade chips. However, the tavern still offers a unique experience with good food, service, and cold beer. Guests highly recommend trying the pimento cheese appetizer, the burger, and the seafood po'boy sandwich, which is noted as the best some have ever had. The loaded fries are also a popular choice, although some may prefer them without chili. Overall, it is a great place to hang out and enjoy fun times with awesome people.
