It's not the most prevalent spice in Latin cuisine. In fact, it's rare that you would even taste it. But thyme has been well incorporated into both the fried, and roasted chicken served at Pollos Camperos.
I've never heard of pollos camperos, until today. And since it was right next door to my hotel, I decided I would stop in and give it a try. I ordered 4 pieces of chicken. Two fried and two baked. And my two sides were coleslaw and beans.
I also ordered two empanadas, which only come in chicken flavor.
Both the roasted and fried chicken were delicious! But I think the roasted chicken was better than the fried. But not by much. Both were moist, juicy, and delicious. My personal opinion is that the thyme flavor just goes better with roasted chicken then it does with fried.
The beans were very basic. Not a lot of flavoring.
If they had added celery seed to the coleslaw, it would have tasted exactly like KFC.
The role was just basic. I thought it was going to be Hawaiian bread, but ........
And the empanadas were delicious! Maybe not the best i've ever had. But they were excellent!
Overall this meal was delicious. While being completely different than anything i've ever had before. Definitely worth a try. I would suggest that you don't go in expecting typical fried or roasted chicken.“

“We went to this Sonic several times while in Rock Hill, and it made me sad that I don’t have any Sonic’s close to me where I live! I loved the drinks, and the food was very good as well! Only one visit did they not give us one of the things we ordered. But the soft pretzel was probably the best I’ve ever had. “My husband, daughter, and I visited for breakfast. I had the sausage and egg biscuit combo with coffee. My daughter had the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit combo. My husband just had the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit; no combo. I thought the sausage was a bit overcooked, but it was delicious. The hash browns and coffee were delicious. The cashier was pleasant and did everything I asked like putting some extra sugar in the bag for my coffee.“

“I was craving a Ham and Swiss from Arby's so I stop by the one on Cranium Drive. I was the third car in line at the drive-thru (we all pulled in at the sane time). When I got to the speaker, I was asked to hold for a moment. After a few minutes, I got my order in and there was an apology for the wait (it didn't bother me that I had to wait). It seemed they were short handed but I will tell you Dylan's customer service was excellent and the food was great!“

“Good food and decent prices which is hard to come by these days. What’s nice is they check on you periodically to see if you need anything. When you are done they will come clear your table for you. Very friendly employees with happy attitudes, which again, is hard to come by these days.“
