“Let me tell you this place is GREAT! We were greeted at the door with a very warm welcome and awesome customer service experience for first time customers! We didn't know what to expect. The cashier explained all the opinions and food very well. I ordered the Squaking Goat - it was simply amazing! The chicken was so delicious and the fried goat cheese on top was superb! It was all coverred in a delicious pepper jelly that was just a perfect tie in for everything! My wife got the Retro palte with eggs, bacon and smashbrowns. I tried the smashbrowns and must say they were very very good! When we go back i will ge an order of them myself. The drinks were self serve and the sitting was good, not many people were there when we were there. It is a little pricy but i will say it was worth every penny. I can't say that about a lot of breakfast/biscuit focused restaunts. We will be back and cannot wait!“
“A permanent breakfast spot for my fiancé and I. We walk in a little after opening and are immediately greeted and welcomed. We know the few waitresses there who are always lovely. The food is great and definitely worth a try if you haven't yet. My favorite is the breakfast burger along with the biscuits and gravy. It's always quiet when we go but we've been when it was busy and it's not bad.“
“My client and I come in at least 3 times a week and most of them know him by name. Megan knows his name and mine. She’s very sweet always knows what he wants. He’s older gentleman but knows how he wants his stuff and is never disappointed. They have excellent service. Great food, Megan is always wearing a smile..“
“I would give this a five star review but I had to send my hash browns back to get them cooked more and had to wait a while to get my empty coffee cup filled which is not normal for waffle houses they're usually pretty quick and my coffee cup usually only stays about half full before it's filled “
“We had a wonderful experience at this IHOP since the reopening. In the past, it was not good at all, but this is our second time since new management and both were great visits. Our food was delicious and came out shortly after ordering. Our server was really nice and attentive, refilling our drinks without even asking. The manager came over to see how we were doing as well. Another server brought us out one of their new pancakes (apple one) to try, and it was excellent. I was thinking about it, but thought it’d be too sweet, so I was glad to have tried it with no strings attached because it was awesome!! Not too sweet and tasted like a caramel apple in the best way.I am writing this review because I know I stayed away from this location after multiple times in the past having bad service and bad food, but since the reopening it is vastly different. I know it’s hard to gain community trust again, so I’d like to help in leaving a positive review and pass the word on that this is a great restaurant now.“
“We were a party of 9 that came in on mother's day. Our waiter, very tall gentleman, was absolutely fantastic! Our food was delicious and timely. We are a greenville family that has celebrated many milestones at the various Stax establishments. I celebrated my high school graduation (1988) at Stax Peppermill. “Wow! The people are great here! Big smiles, greetings and I am a big fan of the newer dish called Hash. They allowed me to replace the bacon with tomatoes and it is so delicious. I also like a signature dish called The Squawking Goat that was featured on the Food Network many years ago. On a regular old day, their grits are great on their own. I would recommend this place and if you are a local, they have a Coffee Club for $35 for the year. The best value for me because sometimes on a busy morning I fly by and grab a coffee to go. The atmosphere here is lovely, older people, families, cultural diversity and a clear view of the kitchen and being able to watch the biscuits being made is always a nice moment to witness. I have been coming here for about three years now and probably tried everything by now, waffles, fritaffles, biscuits and gravy, vegetarian gravy, smash browns with salsa, Blue Grass grits bowl....just really good food.“

I had the coastal crab cake Benedict and it was delicious! Excellent crab cakes! So many good things on the menu. Great coffee and my cup was always full! I will be back!“
“Our server “Ducky” was amazing. She helped us order a “shareable” breakfast for my husband & me as we headed out for a long bike ride. We wanted something filling but not too heavy. Will ask for her next time we’re back.Also, super cute bunny ears for Easter ?“
