“My only complaint about this place is that when you walk in, you don’t know what to do. No one greeted us and we didn’t know what to do. After asking, we learned its first come first serve, so you literally have to stand and wait for a table and rush to it before anyone else. Other than that, the food was excellent. The service was fantastic. The atmosphere was great. And the drinks were the best. Every time we visit the area, we will be back.“
“Wish I could give 10 stars! The food was elevated but comfortable! I felt like a local as soon as I walked in with my group! Barkeep service and drinks spectacular. fyi if you go order the torch cooked bacon … something I didn’t know I needed in my life!“
“Why do they have to keep the secret sauce on the pub burger so secret? OMG, delicious. The sweetness of that with the slight char was perfect. I paired that with their amazing Brussels sprouts. We sat at the patio bar with no wait and it was the perfect break from all the walking. I wish I had a photo to share. Try this place!“
“This place is classy yet informal restaurant and bar. It achieves a splendid melange of sophistication and pub atmosphere. I found the furniture and decor added class and style while the many TVs kept it relaxed. Service was fast and friendly. Portions were generous. The sidewinder fries were fun! I had the pulled pork burger and it was excellent. The sweet BBQ sauce made it delightful to enjoy with a sweet tea. If you're exploring the nearby market, this place is perfect to stop for lunch. Highly recommended.“
“Wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The hostess was polite. Tyler (server) explained the menu and specials right away. He checked on us in a timely manner after each course. Our desserts were delivered to us by the manager Don. It was our anniversary and everyone made sure to tell us Happy anniversary. We got the signature hot rock as our appetizer. It was delicious. My husband got the dry aged ribeye and ai got the scallops. Both were cooked perfectly. We will be back!“
“If you're looking for a fun place to try a large variety of beers or cocktails, this is the place to go. The inside dining area is so spacious, and the bar itself is inviting and fun. There is also a patio and outside bar area where there's live music. The food there is great too, and the portions are worth the price. The staff there are also very friendly and are able to help you out with any questions. Overall, a great place to take a date or friends.Parking: The place has its own parking lot.Kid-friendliness: I would not bring kids here.“
“Uptown Social is the place to be if you are visiting Charleston! My group went on a Saturday night and it was extremely busy! There were a lot of bachelorette groups and spring break groups! The drinks are expensive but it is expected being in a tourist area. The music was great! Highly recommend if you are between the age of 21-30.“
“Make sure you come with people the crowd is not very friendly it's mostly families or couples that tables. The food was very good The service I guess depended on how many people were at the table. I was kind of left by the wayside I was by myself at the bar just trying to order some food. If it was very good I don't think I'll go back. Unless I have a group.“
“This was my wife and I's first time ever visiting Dog and Duck, which was highly recommended by the medical team we visited on 2/20/24 around 3:30 in the afternoon. The restaurant has both outdoor and indoor seating. The welcome sign directs you to sit wherever you like. We chose a booth. Shortly we were great (unknowingly) by the GM. We shared this was our first visit. He welcomed us, announced the name of our server, covered the day's specials, explained the categories on the menu and shared the most common items ordered from the menu. The service was quick, we ordered medium and house garlic wings, Philly cheese steak, and the patty melt. The wings tasted fantastic and were very good size. The sandwich portions were also quite filling. I knew after how great the wings were and one bite into the Philly, the food is far abo e the average restaurant. Thankfully we live an hour and 1/2 away, because we would be broke. I can't recommended Dog and Duck any higher. Great place to take the family or even for a date. If you're near here, grab you some excellent food. You WILL NOT be disappointed! Thank you Dog and Duck team!!!!“
“Great local pub with good customer service. This was my first visit, and met some friends for Thursday night trivia. We had a great time! Food is reasonably priced. Their signature appetizer - Home Chips with warm Bleu Cheese is delicious! Plenty of parking. Will return in the future.“
“The service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable. Special thanks to Mary Ann for the excellent recommendations and for making us feel so well taken care of. Will be coming again to see my favorite server very soon!!!!!!“
“it’s a really cool and fun place to eat out too. they have some fun games in the outside area. the food is always amazing and all the servers are incredibly kind to me when i come to eat! Kid-friendliness: Just good for kids and families but also good for adults(they have a great bar area)“
“My husband and I stumbled upon this gem when walking back to our hotel. If you like dive bar vibes and Nintendo 64, this is your spot. They also have pool tables and dart boards. Staff was extremely friendly and drink prices were good. Nice change of pace compared to all the pricey spot around town!“
“Great atmosphere, awesome band (High Strung), food was good, and overall it was a great time with a packed house. We did have an order that was missed for one of our friends and was too late to have it reordered so I felt bad as he was an out of town guest but it was a packed house so understandable I guess. It was our first time and it’s definitely a place we will be back to visit.“
“The WORST hotel in Charleston. It’s impossible to reach anyone at the front desk. Calls are not returned. The water doesn’t get hot. There’s barely enough room to fit in the bathroom. The robes included with the rooms was one pilly polyester green ratty rag better suited for the trash. Also no coffee maker, fridge or microwave, which are usually a given in 3 star hotels.“
“Woodward Tavern was a nice little spot in Mt. Pleasant. I went to past time for an appointment. The service was really goo dan it it wasn't hat busy when I went. I was able to read a book and eat. The food was ok, I got the nachos. Presentation wasn't all that great. I don't think its a location I would go back to , but Im glad to say I have experienced it.“
“Sometimes (almost all the time) my husband and I just go to the beach so that we can stop at Dunleavy’s after the beach. It’s cash only so plan ahead, but we enjoy the cold beer, delicious popcorn, and their amazing chili. This place is a staple. My husband also loves the chicken salad sandwich. Please bring back the apple Bold Rock, and I may never leave (but I’ll enjoy the Miller Lite in the meantime!).“
