“Great food, recommended for anyone who loves seafood (and chicken wings). Ordered the fish chicken special, 5 chicken wings and 3 pc fish, $12.95. Pick your choice of fish when you order; whiting, tilapia, flounder and there are fish choices that I didn't catch (see photos for the fish choices). Also a choice of hot sauce on the fish. It took about 30-45 minutes but it may have been less than that because we left and came back to pay and pick up. What's also great about this place is the fish is cooked fresh. Cash and debit/credit cards are accepted. Two sitting tables by the door can be used to enjoy your food. Bottled drinks are $2.49 and they have tea lemonade for $1.95.

We paid $30.88 for our meal and 2 drinks. Pretty affordable and a lot of locals support this business. So support local! ??

“The food is DELICIOUS! You get a nice size portion, and the prices are reasonable. The owner is very friendly, well-mannered, and has a great attitude. This is the best seafood in SC. The wait time is 1 hr because the owner is the only chef, he makes all the food fresh and hot and he has a lot of customers. So order ahead and enjoy ?“

“Their food is always top notch. We do takeout most often and Paul and Emily at the bar are great. Great local place that isn't a chain with good food. The steamed oysters are my go-to but the swordfish is amazing also. Corn fritters with their signature dipping size are always a winner for an appetizer.“

“We just had lunch here. The food was fantastic. My husband had the steak burrito which was so pretty. It came with a white queso on it. I had the chili relleno, the chili was fire roasted and had a farmers type cheese inside and on top. It had a bite to it and was very refreshing. The rice had corn in it and a really nice flavor. The beans were the right consistency and delicious. At the end of our meal, the waitress brought us a piece of Tres Leche cake. It was so light and so delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for your next Mexican craving.“

“Update: I came back and saw the store had replied to me; that was nice. I didn't leave detail, but I just scrolled through some of the other reviews.. I'm not sure who was working on those days but I've been to this location plenty of times since I moved down here. In general, Captain D's is my favorite fast food of all time, and I'm not from Sumter, so I don't play about my Captain D's.

Just here to say, EVERYTIME I went the food and service was GREAT. I'm just saying.. don't be afraid to give them a try when you pass through, I went a couple of times in the day one was dine-in (restroom needs a good update, in due time❤️), but everything else was spot on and tidy. I also visited couple of times in the evening as well (drive-thru). I had a long wait at night due to short staffing, but the wait was for fresh food! Well worth it, and the person who served me had such a sweet and lovely personality, bless her she made sure everything was right. I am glad I didn't read these reviews first because I wouldn't have had the amazing experiences that I had so far. Goodness! Maybe I was just blessed ? :) (hang in there staff and management ❤️ better days coming).“
