“What! As a patron way back in the Food Lion strip mall days, this was hands down the best buffet in town, & sad when they closed. I watched when they broke ground on this new location. I couldn't be the first to enjoy since now I have an autistic child of habit, new isn't easy for us. Using my Super Mama powers, we went for lunch on his birthday in January. I do not have enough room on here to describe the ambiance, cleanliness, kindness, etc... Lucas & I will NOT EVER eat out anywhere else, not even fast food joints kids are attracted to. You get your own hibachi chef, sushi buffet with chef, "traditional" American foods, full salad bar, bars full of Chinese & Chinese-American foods, soups, desserts, superior service, a really undescribable without experiencing for yourself just daily lunch. So much deliciousness to even attempt to enjoy in a 2-hour visit for the price of chicken nuggets, fries, drink, & shake at fast food joints! If the lunch is mind (gut) blowing, supper must be out of this world! Soon. I have to judge many places by staff because of my son, who not only rolled out the red carpet for him/us, but innumerable amounts of other-abled folks, which is important to me. I have traveled & eaten at many places. I now have built-in ADA EYE. My eyes have never, ever, laid eyes on wait staff, or owners, who help a blind person or someone in a wheelchair get tabled and then helped with food selections, plating, and seated to enjoy. Care, respect, not enough words for this either. I have heard the owners waited 15+ years, raising $1,000,000 to create a dream for themselves and their patrons. Where in Columbia, Lexington, Orangeburg, Sumter, Charlotte, Augusta, Greenville, Charleston, Atlanta, and so on, can you get the same? Send me a Gmail & we will talk! “Wonderful! Lowkey, casual spot with delicious food. We had sushi and boba milk tea. The $5 sushi specials far exceeded expectations! And other sushi rolls were also delicious! We will keep this in our list for when we travel between here and the coast.“

“Birthday celebration for my wife at MGrille could not have been better!

We held a celebration for my wife’s 75th birthday at MGrille, with about 30 friends. Michelle Wang was wonderful for us to work with in designing the menu and arranging the venue. The food was everything we could have hoped for, Michelle made special accommodations for vegetarians and everything was delicious. The food was kept warm in chafing dishes during the first hour of the party, while we mingled and chatted. When the group was ready to eat, the tops of the chafing dished were removed and folks filled their plates … the food was delicious and perfect for serving. Everyone commented about how great the food was, the two cocktails we picked out for the party were enthusiastically enjoyed and there were also three choices for nonalcoholic drinks. We also greatly appreciate Michelle’s wonderful staff for the party - Leo, Kyle, Payton and Frank, thanks again! The venue was comfortable and generously sized. The baby grand piano was great for the occasion (and thank you to Bert Ligon, a delightful pianist). We are so thankful to Michelle for making this important milestone celebration so perfect, easy for us and special! 👏🥂“

“Sumo Sushi & Hibachi was recommended to me by a local while I was in the area. I was thoroughly impressed. Small space in a little strip in front of the Walmart, with limited seating for dining but still can hold about 20-30 people.
I ordered to go and was very easy to place. The clerk kept me informed. Did have to wait a little bit, but that was expected as they were busy. However, they were completing orders at a good pace.
I ordered a steak/shrimp/chicken hibachi plate and a sushi roll. The sushi was very good and fresh 10 out of 10 would recommend. I give the hibachi plate a 4.5 out of 5. The chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly, steak was a little overcooked but still had good flavor. The rice was seasoned perfectly!

“Me and my family were coming from a graduation and we were first to arrive as soon as the restaurant opened. We were a party of 20. Our waitress was Summer and she was definitely a ray of sunshine. Summer was very patient as we decided what we wanted to eat . She offered suggestions from the menu and she was mindful of the people with shellfish allergies and vegans in the party. The food was pretty good too. The prices were good and the food was plentiful . I ate leftovers for 3days“

“First time trying this restaurant, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It's definitely a vibe. Our server was friendly and attentive, although the food took a little longer than expected to come out.

I started with the Lychee Mimosa, which was delicious. I also ordered the Spicy Edamame, and it was excellent. For my main dish, I had the Spicy Miso Ramen. While it was good overall and had great flavor, I felt the broth was lacking a bit of richness, so it wasn't my favorite dish.

Overall, I had a good experience and would definitely come back to try more items on the menu.“

On the lunch buffet they muscles & clams , the clams are so good i ate a whole pan of em , their egg rolls & crab rangoon are some of the best ive had , the house fried rice , fried chicken are to die for everything on the buffet was hot, fresh , and tasty! “I have been to several different locations. This was my first time going to this location. They had a drive thru which really intrigued me.i ordered my food through the drive through. I ordered the chicken and shrimp teriyaki. It came which vegetables and fried rice. The chicken was very flavorful drenched in teriyaki sauce. It was fresh.the shrimp was really good. Steamed with flavor. The vegetables were fresh aswell from zucchini to broccoli. It literally took me five minutes to get my food. I was happy about that being that i went through drive thru i anticipated a longer wait time. The overall experience was good. I can’t wait to go back and order from them again. Due to their speedy service and fresh food items. The meal also came with 2 white sauces. The silverware was in the bag so i didn’t have to ask for any additional items. Can’t wait to go back“

“Best Japanese restaurant in Columbia. Food and service was AMAZING! All of the staff clearly works so hard. Our server had multiple large tables and still kept up the amazing service although extremely busy. The atmosphere is great and food was even better. No complaints. 10/10“
