Sato Japanese Restaurant Reviews
I gave the food 3 stars because, although it was good they don't give you as much for take out as they do when you dine in. The meat portion was not enough for a $30 platter. The guy in the front was very patient when I ordered my food. What I don't like is, they charge you a 10% gratuity for take out. That should be a choice when you're getting take out. From now on I will be dining in only.
Food was great, what made it a great experience was our cook MARTIN. He was hilarious. We had a great time. Many ppl had birthdays today and they came out with drums and other instruments, it was a great atmosphere to be a part of.
They always treat us great

Sato Japanese Restaurant is a family-friendly spot well known for its Hibachi and teppanyaki chefs' skills. The restaurant features a sushi counter in the corner, offering delicious options like the Special Beltline roll for $12.99. They also have a Thursday night special of steak, chicken, and shrimp for $25.99, enough for two meals. From 5 to 6 pm, there are $19.99 combo Hibachi specials. The restaurant can accommodate dietary restrictions and has parking available in the front and sides, although parking may be challenging during busy times. The inside shows some age but remains popular in Columbia for special occasions. Guests praise the great food, especially the sushi and hibachi dishes, and friendly staff, though service can sometimes be inconsistent. The sous chef is highly appreciated for the quality of the food, and the welcoming atmosphere keeps many returning. The live cooking at the hibachi grill continues to be a highlight, with some chefs providing entertaining interactions, adding to the enjoyable experience.
