“Dined here last night for the first time and had a wonderful time and meal. The staff were all very helpful and attentive. The food was delicious. Our party enjoyed both sushi and hot entrees. The eggplant dish was very flavorful and the sushi was fresh and tasty.“

“The fried rice was greasy and the wings were old and dried out, as if they were cooked the day before. Terrible food. I would have taken it back for a refund if I stayed closer to restaurant. I had to throw the wings away, too hard to eat. That was not fresh cooked chicken or rice. I ordered in restaurant and my order was brought to me in less than 5 minutes (old food). This is the first time I have had s problem with their food.“

“Birthday celebration for my wife at MGrille could not have been better!

We held a celebration for my wife’s 75th birthday at MGrille, with about 30 friends. Michelle Wang was wonderful for us to work with in designing the menu and arranging the venue. The food was everything we could have hoped for, Michelle made special accommodations for vegetarians and everything was delicious. The food was kept warm in chafing dishes during the first hour of the party, while we mingled and chatted. When the group was ready to eat, the tops of the chafing dished were removed and folks filled their plates … the food was delicious and perfect for serving. Everyone commented about how great the food was, the two cocktails we picked out for the party were enthusiastically enjoyed and there were also three choices for nonalcoholic drinks. We also greatly appreciate Michelle’s wonderful staff for the party - Leo, Kyle, Payton and Frank, thanks again! The venue was comfortable and generously sized. The baby grand piano was great for the occasion (and thank you to Bert Ligon, a delightful pianist). We are so thankful to Michelle for making this important milestone celebration so perfect, easy for us and special! 👏🥂“

“We go out to eat for three things, the food, the service and the atmosphere. The good parts; the food is really good and their sushi rolls are terrific. The decor very nice love that there’s outdoor seating. Happy hour prics very nice. The not so good; depending on the time of day or night you go in there apparently they don’t have the appropriate number of servers so if you want to sit somewhere specific, you will have a very hard time convincing them to seat you where you want to. Number two if you go during happy hour and you want Sushi you are now limited to two rolls per person
so if you are a bigger eater, you will then have to pay full price for your third roll. Number three for some reason many of their servers/bartenders/managers are just not happy people and you can see it and it may not matter to everyone, but to me, it goes into the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.
The parking lot is typically extremely crowded so nice thing is they do have parking in the back of all of the stores and restaurant which makes it easier to find a spot. Also, if you want to pay cash and avoid the credit card service fee make sure they remove the fee from the receipt. They forget to do that and you have to ask for a whole new receipt every time and wait for a manager to remove it. Realize this is not that big of a deal but just an annoyance.“

“What a great experience. Very welcoming staff. We had a party of 8 and we're seated right away. Our server was so friendly. The Sushi was awesome. And I had Hibachi Chicken. They give you so much. But so delicious. I would recommend a visit if your in the area.“

“Sumo Sushi & Hibachi was recommended to me by a local while I was in the area. I was thoroughly impressed. Small space in a little strip in front of the Walmart, with limited seating for dining but still can hold about 20-30 people.
I ordered to go and was very easy to place. The clerk kept me informed. Did have to wait a little bit, but that was expected as they were busy. However, they were completing orders at a good pace.
I ordered a steak/shrimp/chicken hibachi plate and a sushi roll. The sushi was very good and fresh 10 out of 10 would recommend. I give the hibachi plate a 4.5 out of 5. The chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly, steak was a little overcooked but still had good flavor. The rice was seasoned perfectly!

“Frank was amazing. Very friendly and high energy. We came at 9:15 and were the only ones seating in the hibachi area. He came out and gave a show like it was a full room. Very friendly and not too much. Allowed us space to talk and enjoy dinner as well. He made our night. Food was amazing and fresh. Tried this different style of noodles and was pleasantly surprised.“

“We had lunch here the other day. I had a sushi combo with nigiri, sashimi, and a spicy tuna roll. They were very yummy. My wife had a build your own wok bowl, but wasn't as tasty and was a bit bland. I would definitely go back for sushi, as I think that is more their specialty here.“

“Very good food! The only hibachi I like to eat around here! Sometimes their phone doesn’t work, so you have to come in and order and wait for your food. Other than that they have pretty good service. They switched from the bigger portions of the white sauce to smaller portions. Atmosphere is pretty good. They will modify your order perfect for you, if you’d like.“
