“Celebrated our 1st year anniversary and it was a lovely experience. Calvin and Veronica made sure we had a good time here. We set a reservation and anticipated the sushi chef per the pictures to be there, but we were informed due to COVID, he was required to retire. It appeared that there were college students rolling sushi instead. However, the sushi was rolled well and LOVED that the nigiri included the little dab of wasabi under the fish, which is the correct way to roll sushi. Another fact that made me really happy to hear is they cut and prepare the fish in house, that's cool! Calvin brought out this white soy sauce for the sushi and that paired so well! My only complaint was they do not sell beer or liquor at this time as they were in the process of updating their license. Green tea is just fine though. If you want ACTUAL authentic Japanese sushi cuisine, you have to come here!!“

“Delicious lunch!Ginger salad was succulent and so flavorful. Edamame was fresh. My salmon lunch with green beans was tender and savory. Shrimp tempura was perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Udon noodles were properly chewy without being over/under cooked. Truly, a good meal.Service was attentive.Every table had a fresh flower, too ?? ?“

“A really great poke spot!! I love the large selection of veggies in comparison to other places I’ve been. Very vegan and vegetarian friendly!Vegetarian options: There is tofu as a protein option. The tofu is in a container next to the seafood, so be aware if that is a concern for you!“

“I, was there for a private 90 th Birthday party, for about 50 people, everything was great, until the Owner came, and told us to pack up, and get out of her Restaurant as soon as possible, Nasty attitude, and very poor customer service, she then threatened to call the Police on us, never been so Insulted in my life, never will go to any of her Restaurant again.“

“This was my first time here, I didn't know what they had and the person making my food explained and walked me through every item before I ordered. Explained the process and gave the best customer service I have ever seen before. Thank you! 100% recommend to come back! Also try their drinks!! They are really good!“

“Went with some friends. Delicious teriyaki chicken! But, they don't have yum yum sauce. I love yum yum, but they don't have it. Their spicy mayo tastes nothing like it either. But, service was quick and our waiter was friendly.Kid-friendliness: Menu just for kids!“

“The absolute BEST SUSHI I've ever eaten. I don't care that I have to drive from Sumter to pick it up and take it back. It is very well worth it! The woman that prepares the sushi and takes orders (I'm assuming this is the owner but I could be wrong) is so kind, patient, and wicked fast! I couldn't recommend this place enough.“

“This place is a hidden gem.I’ve eaten at “5 star” restaurants that don’t even compare to the level of quality of food as produced here. The Owner and Probably Chef is a master of his craft. Although we didn’t get to speak to anyone but our server, the food came promptly, every dish warped you into Japan, and the atmosphere made you forget you’re in Columbia, SC. Just for a moment. If you’re a sushi fan, just order the combination plate A, B, C.Let the master of his craft woo you.The Mochi is also out of this world. This should cost between 40-50 per person.Eat in, the way it should be. There should be a line around the block to eat here.“

“Tsunami is our go-to for sushi happy hour in Columbia! We always get the 3 roll special and a teryaki special to split. HUGE portions and always fresh and tasting delicious! I definitely recommend dining in next time you have a sushi craving!“

“I've been twice now and both times I have only tried the sushi and small plates. Sushi quality is very good, the yellowtail sashimi, pork belly roll, and the sunset crab roll were 10/10. Small plates I've tried the pork & ginger gyoza, crab wontons, beef kimchi dumplings, crispy tuna and they were good as well. My only complaint with the small plates/ appetizers is that it's exactly that lol very small. Definitely not shareable! However they are good. Cocktails were also good as well, overall very solid place!“

“Miyo's is one of my favorites in Columbia. The food and service are consistently stellar. In regards to the menu, there isn't one thing that I've tried and didn't enjoy. An added plus is that they offer vegan and vegetarian options for each course of the meal.“

“Called in my order. I had the steak, chicken, and shrimp. It also came with nicely cooked veggies which were good. All of the meat was seasoned well, and cooked perfectly. The service was good, and by the time I got to the restaurant my food was ready to go.Vegetarian options: They do offer a hibachi vegetable entree“

“Very good food! The only hibachi I like to eat around here! Sometimes their phone doesn’t work, so you have to come in and order and wait for your food. Other than that they have pretty good service. They switched from the bigger portions of the white sauce to smaller portions. Atmosphere is pretty good. They will modify your order perfect for you, if you’d like.“

“Me and my family celebrated Easter supper with Hibachi. Not typically one's first choice traditionally in my family, but this was a truly fortunate and happy experience. This is like the second time I've had Hibachi cooked in front of me, but the food was delicious. The rice was flavorful and went so well with the meats that I had with it. Chicken and pork belly. That pork belly? Melted in my mouth. I unfortunately do not remember the name of the young man and lady who served us, but well done. I practically inhaled my dish before the young man was finished coming all the meat that went with it. Pork belly and chicken for dessert, lol? I wouldn't mind returning during a busier hour to take in the atmosphere with my family, on my own, or even with a date. But again, it was Easter. Next time. The manager even pulled me aside and told me that he liked seeing an empty plate. Everyone else got to go plates. But with food that good, it's almost impolite NOT to finish it. It was a great experience.“

“The food was AMAZING! But our server Melissa was by far the best part of the evening. She was so attentive and friendly! She truly went above and beyond. She even gave us a to-go menu where she highlighted some yummy sushi options to try next time. 10/10 service, we couldn’t thank her enough! We will definitely be back.“
