“Best shrimp fried rice in town. The unique flavoring and the small shrimp in almost every two spoonfuls is what makes this rice elite. I don't even eat rice from anywhere else. Wings are good, egg-rolls are good, other menu items are on par with other chinese places but again, the rice is next-level.“
“I Tried this restaurant today and it did not disappoint, i’m not gonna lie it lowkey exceeded my expectations lollll. But let me just say this they gave a lot of food and it was so fresh. Y’all have to try them out!!! They give free drinks and spring rolls too when ordering over $20 bucks or if you pay in cash!!! This is now my go to spot!“
“Best Singapore Mei Fun I have ever had. I am not from the local area and took a chance on this restaurant. It was excellent! The place was busy and the parking lot was full. Pretty good sign. As it was takeout, I cannot speak to the ambiance. I'd take out again if I was in the area.“
“This place is a hidden gem. The only good Chinese restaurant in the entire area if we're being honest. Ignore the naysayers, they are either trolls from competitors or so used to bad, overly sugary and greasy Americanized Chinese that they think that is supposed to be what it tastes like. The portion sizes are huge by the way, so anyone complaining about that should probably go on Dr. Phil.“
“My recent experience at Good Day Chinese restaurant was marked by a delightful combination of excellent offerings and service. The restaurant's welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, paired with attentive staff, created the perfect setting for an enjoyable dining experience. Good Day Chinese restaurant's commitment to consistently delivering quality and satisfying options was evident throughout the visit. Whether you're seeking a quick bite or a more relaxed dining experience, Good Day Chinese restaurant is a reliable choice that offers both exceptional options and attentive service. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to savor more of their delightful offerings!“
“This is one of the best Chinese places I’ve been to. Food is always hot and taste delicious. The service however is lacking, many of the encounters I’ve had with the servers have been very difficult. They speak through microphones and most of the time are rude and want to get through with your order asap. Even so it doesn’t take away from the fact that they make great food“
“I should have taken a pic, but Boneless Spare Rib Fried Rice (combo) is not a joke. 81 million votes; that's a joke. Deleting over 30,000 emails, each one its own felony since it was after a subpoena was issued, and not going to prison is a joke. People voting themselves into the worst economy since the Great Depression because they don't like someone's tweets is a joke. BONELESS SPARE RIB FRIED RICE from this place is NOT a joke. I found my new favorite spot for Chinese food in Columbia, SC.“
“Did a quick pick up for lunch. Called my order in. The food was ready by the time I got there. Staff was friendly. My only issue with this restaurant has always ever been their parking lot. It is a tight squeeze. I needed to get back to work fast but I was blocked in by a delivery truck. For a popular spot, I wish the accessibility of parking was better.“
“This is exactly the kind of Asian food I wanted as a soon to be drunk person. They were open on New Year's Eve (2023) and this was our 3rd stop of the night trying to find Asian food. The value was awesome, got a meal for less than $10. The egg/spring roll was a fair size, the plastic takeout dish was reusable, my meal had rice, broccoli, and sesame chicken and it was more than enough to last me 2 considerable meals. Only thing I would recommend is more salt on the broccoli.“
“Stopped in to place a order. I had the sesame chicken combo, with shrimp fried rice, with extra shrimp. The combo also came with an egg roll, but I added an extra egg roll.Everything was delicious! The added shrimp made it even better. The employees were friendly, and provided great customer service!“
“My whole entire family since 1985 we have been coming since South Carolina and have been living here as well and this is the best Chinese restaurant on Northeast Columbia side I will not eat any other Chinese food and I travel 30 miles from where I live now to get their food“
“Even though I call my food in early I went to pick it up 30 mins and it wasn’t ready it took them a hour to give me my food but I can understand due to high volume of customers coming in and customers calling rapidly. Other then that this was my first time ordering food was amazing. I’m learning patience so I will be backParking: Small parking area“
“If you're in the mood for tasty Chinese takeout, China Hut is the place to go. The menu has all the classic dishes, and the flavors are spot-on. The quick service and reasonable prices make it a convenient and enjoyable option for a casual meal.“
“I’ve been getting food from here since 2005 ?? We moved to the northeast and still we make that drive for excellent Chinese food wt very reasonable prices. You definitely get your moneys worth. Their spicy ?️ wings are a must ? You won’t be disappointed ?“
“The AMERICA JAMSKATERS love this Restaurant because the Food is Excellent and Service is Professional! The First Time I came was for the Egg Rolls and calamari that was excellent! Then I had the Crab legs-Shrimp-Crawfish Boil. That was excellent! That same day I came back for the Chicken and Fries that where excellent! This close to Fort Jackson and great for lunch or Dinner with your Military Discount!“
“Miyo's is one of my favorites in Columbia. The food and service are consistently stellar. In regards to the menu, there isn't one thing that I've tried and didn't enjoy. An added plus is that they offer vegan and vegetarian options for each course of the meal.“
“I had an amazing experience with the crab legs – it felt like heaven! The Jamaican jerk butter was absolutely amazing – you have to try it! My daughter enjoyed the chicken tenders and fries, which were so delicious. Everything was seasoned to perfection! The service was fantastic, and everyone was super friendly and helpful. I can't remember the last time I finished all my food from a restaurant. Looking forward to returning for more delightful meals!“
“The food was excellent. It was my first time eating here. Ordered the House Lomein. It had shrimp, streak, and chicken in it. The portions were outstanding. House Lomein, Fried scallops( a good bit) and 2 egg rolls cost me 27.00. Worth the price“
“I love sweet and sour chicken w/shrimp fried rice (only thing I order at any Chinese restaurant) but the flavors and portion size (7 chicken tender/straps and 2 cups of rice) was different (to me). The overall look of the place was clean, fast and friendly (need to update parking).“
“Been getting my Chinese food from here since I moved to the NE side of town. The lady who picks up the phone is always so nice and pleasant, the food is honestly always good! Never have I ever gotten cold or nasty food! Definitely would recommend 10/10. Them wings are GOODT!“
“There are so many different Chinese options around Columbia South Carolina and I ended up going to this particular restaurant. I am so glad that I did even though it wasn't recommended to me, I was extremely impressed! I was impressed with the food. It was fresh. It was delicious. And I can say that it was the absolute best hot and sour soup and best cheese wonton / crab rangoon that I've ever had in my life! And I've eaten a lot of Chinese food in the past. I would recommend this place (and I already have) to anyone looking for a great Chinese restaurant around the Columbia area or anyone passing through! Kudos tou you guys!Vegetarian options: Available“
“Quality Over Quantity: A Closer Look at Magnolia Buffet in Columbia, SCMagnolia Buffet, located on Two Notch Road in Columbia, SC, emerges as a unique culinary gem in the realm of Chinese cuisine, albeit with a touch of limitation. While the establishment doesn’t boast the vast array of options found in larger buffets, it distinguishes itself with an unwavering commitment to quality. As patrons step into the inviting ambiance of Magnolia Buffet, they might initially notice the smaller selection size compared to other establishments. However, this perceived drawback is quickly overshadowed by the impeccable quality and authentic flavors of each offered dish. From the meticulously prepared Peking Duck to the vibrant and spicy Kung Pao Chicken, each menu item showcases a deep respect for traditional Chinese culinary arts, crafted from fresh, high-quality ingredients. The ambiance of the buffet complements the dining experience, providing a cozy and welcoming environment suitable for various occasions. Coupled with the attentive and friendly service, a meal at Magnolia Buffet is both pleasant and memorable. However, it is this smaller selection that holds me back from awarding a full five-star rating. While the quality of the food is beyond reproach, the limited variety may leave some diners wishing for more options to explore. This aspect, albeit minor in the context of the overall experience, is notable for those who value extensive choices alongside quality. In summary, Magnolia Buffet stands out for its high-quality Chinese cuisine and intimate dining experience. While the limited selection might be a drawback for some, it is precisely this focus on a smaller range of dishes that ensures the superior taste and quality that Magnolia Buffet prides itself on. It’s a testament to the philosophy that sometimes, less truly is more, especially when it means enjoying some of the best Chinese food in Columbia, SC.“
