“I had tried Ganbei for lunch, and it was so fresh, delicious and healthy I made dinner reservations for my husband's birthday. He loved it! Excellent wait staff and excellent food. Our server added a complimentary fried ice cream with a birthday candle. I highly recommend, and I am a KAREN when it comes to high recommendations.“

Ordered from this place yesterday and not only is there not an employee who speaks English, and I mean zero English, I ordered from the the Hibachi Grill, and was not impressed at all. Not only is there only a small section on the back of the menu that is hibachi, the mostly serve Chinese food. And I mean to tell you the rice was mushy barely any vegetables. The beef and chicken were tasteless... they had no seasonings. And may I add ,Very hard to chew. Maybe they were just having an off day but I thought I would warn you all“

“Although it's a small family owned restaurant where most people ordered to go, I decided to dine in. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken which came with a plentiful to go plate of chicken, roasted pork fried rice and an egg roll for a total of $10.98. The food looked and tasted was great! They also have bottled drinks and water at a reasonable price. Bottled water was $1.25.“

“We have gotten food from here several times since moving to the area and it is always great! We have tried multiple chicken dishes, the veggie lo mein, spring rolls, and fried scallops. Everything has been tasty and the price is unbeatable!“

First time ever at a PE. Not immediately acknowledged when we walked in and no signage indicating where the line started, but fortunately they weren’t busy so it only took a few minutes before we were asked if we had placed an order yet.

We viewed the menu online before going so we weren’t standing there wasting time while deciding. Disappointing that neither the website menu nor the menu in the restaurant had descriptions for those like us with little experience with asian based foods.

Got our food and drinks quickly. Two orders fried rice, two orders honey sesame chicken, one orange chicken, one teriyaki chicken, two sweet teas. Wish they had knives along with the forks as some of the bites were larger and could’ve used a knife to cut into smaller pieces, but forks only was manageable. Noted that the original orange chicken on the menu is labeled as spicy, although it wasn’t (which to me is a good thing).

Dine in space was a little tight and few booth options where you can sit more privately with a smaller group. Since it wasn’t crowded at the time, this wasn’t such a big deal. The restaurant was notably chilly, and while it feels good in our southern heat waves, when your food is only slightly warm to begin with, the cold air cooled our meals down much too quickly.

Other positive notables: friendly staff, quick service, clean facilities. A medium size drink here is a large at many other restaurants, so you do get more value for your drink at PE.

Other negative notables: while I despise styrofoam containers being used in sit down environments, I can somewhat understand restaurants using them to help with consistent portion control. What I found particularly bothersome is that the containers they are using are significantly smaller than the standard size boxed containers I’ve seen widely used in other restaurants.“

Reviews were all over the place so we were a little hesitant but I’m so glad we came! Decent Chinese buffet, and great value- only fifteen dollars for dinner. Selection isn’t huge, but they had our favorites. Food was all pretty good or at least fair, definitely great for the price. I couldn’t figure out why the self proclaimed ‘fat guy’ said this was the worst buffet he’d been to, but then I realized that it was the fried/ unhealthy foods that were not quite as good- like the sweet and sour chicken was over breaded, and the egg rolls were doughy (Spring rolls were good, though). We didn’t try the French fries or Chinese donuts… I also agree with another reviewer, the dishes with sauce were swimming in it- but it didn’t seem to affect the taste and it wasn’t hard to drain the extra sauce off but it does seem unnecessary.
Tables were clean and we had our pick of seats. We came with our 10 year old and we found it family friendly. She kept asking questions and the staff was super patient with her.
Highlight was the ice cream station where we got to scoop our own ice cream and then add sprinkles.
Note for those with food allergies that the food was not well labeled, and there are peanuts out for ice cream topping.
Overall, we would definitely come back next time we are passing this way.“

“I give the portion a 5 and taste a 3, so we’ll call this one a 4 overall. Got the orange chicken for lunch. Wasn’t great and wasn’t terrible, but I’ve had better from the mall. The portion size may not look like a lot, but it was packed in there, probably enough for two meals. I’d be willing to go again and try something else on the menu.“

“We ordered take out tonight and let me just say it was delicious. The portions were large and cooked to perfection. The veggies were fresh and although some people do not like the veggies cut so large, I think they are perfect. Egg rolls were scrumptious and large . We had soup which was still piping hot when arriving home, house fried rice was perfection. Plenty of leftovers. Love, love, love .“

Very professional and courteous. The Seafood Bag was banging along with the Tea, Large Order of Fried okra, Large Order of Fried Hush puppies and the Large Order of Shrimp Fried Rice. You will not find another restaurant like this in a 60 mile radius PERIOD! I now will come once a week which is something I have never done in 47 years!
