“Came tonight for a going away party. I've never been here before so ddecided go check it out. Had a decent amount of various beers and liquor so I was NOT disappointed. Great service and a fun atmosphere. It's def a diamond in the rough in town. I'll def be back for sure. I did however, give it 4 stars bc of the cost of drinks. “So good!! They have many options for toppings and drink combinations and they taste amazing!! My favorite is the taro milk tea with egg pudding. The tarp milk tea is sweet but not too sweet and the egg pudding is creamy. 10/10 would recommend.Also, I’m super glad that we have a boba tea shop in Brookings and in South Dakota in general. I like having variety in my snacks and meals.”

“Every time I go to Choco Latte, I always have a positive experience and they brighten my day. Each time I ask for recommendations for a frappe and they always pick the best ones. The atmosphere is awesome, they're kind and they even know me on a first name basis (yeah I know, it means I frequent it too much for my own good. Soon enough I'll go broke ?). Honestly though, it's my favorite coffee shop and I'll be sad when I have to leave town. 10/10, can't recommend this place enough!”

“A nice local restaurant. It was not crowded on the Tuesday evening that I went. I got the grilled walleye fish and it tasted pretty nice. It took a little longer to get my check ready, but overall it was a good experience at the restaurant.”

“I got Shannon's Favorite and it was delicious and was ready quickly. I can't comment on the atmosphere as I ordered near closing. Make sure to have either cash or checks as those are the only form of payment accepted (which is stated on the entrance).”

“They had a couple of guys behind the counter and helped us every minute we were there. Even gave us a couple of free samples. Cheerful guys. Just the atmosphere didn't want you to stay longer than just enjoying your snacks. Not in a bad way it just didn't make me want to stay longer. Good price.Parking: They do have a few extra spots right next to it in the paid parking lot for specifically the dairy bar and they're only 30 minutes parking.”

“Found Cubby's as a fluke while in Brookings for work, visited on Monday for lunch and it was much busier than I expected! Sat at the bar with a very friendly bartender (didn't catch his name) and had the crab Rangoon nachos. They were amazing, I was stuffed but couldn't quit eating them and now I feel like I have a garlic cloud around me but I don't care!”

“I've only gotten drinks & sweet potatoes (I'm gluten free so much of the meals have gluten).. Wasnt a big fan of the sweet potatoes. I've never asked if they could make the eggs with no wrap, to make it gf, maybe I'll do that one day!Drinks are OK. The mocha madness is pretty strong & I've asked to hold the Strawberries before, and still had a strawberry chunk in the bottom. Their protein powder is a bit gritty. Overall, this place is alright. But I prefer juice stop in Sioux falls if I have a choice.”

“Traveling on Hwy 14?- Schedule a stop - or make a special trip. Really flavorful coffee (with many unique options), yummo baked goods, and super friendly staff. Plus - it’s independently owned - so skip Starbucks and support them! (I do think they need a good east/west facing sign on Hwy 14 - you may not see them if you don’t know they are there.)”

“Our families favorite sushi restaurant. Unbeatable! And the service is excellent. They remember us and treat us like they appreciate us coming. We will always visit every time we come to brookings. Chefs special sushi is always amazing ? ? ?”

“Awesome bakery. Reasonably priced, quality food, staff is extremely friendly and pastries are made fresh at the start of the day rather than made to order, so there's a lot of variety. If you stop in after noon and have less to choose from, it's still delicious and better than anything from hyvee or walmart. Also delicious fresh hot coffee. 5 *'s.”

“I myself love the street tacos and like the other person said. I haven't had tacos like this since Nothern California. Tacos were filled with plenty of meat and sauce was on point. I'd eat every day if they were open daily. I will be back. I also love to buy their dozen of tamales to pop in microwave when im hungry.”

“Excellent service. After DoorDash dropped the ball on my order, Jason went out of his way to remake my pizza so it was fresh - even though the delay had nothing to do with Dempsey’s. Definitely didn’t expect that, but very much appreciated.”

“Went here for breakfast while we were in the area. I would rank this as one of the top three best breakfasts I have ever had:) Country fried steak and hash browns, with two eggs over easy. Every part of this was cooked perfectly, the hash browns crispy, the eggs done just right. The place was very busy and small, but if I lived near Brookings, I would be a regular in this place:) the service was quick and pleasant, it was a great small town experience, we felt right at home.”

“This was a cool dive bar and my favorite during a week long stint in SD. I tired several places but always found myself back here for cold drinks and good times in a great atmosphere . Bartenders were the best . It is cash only so bring paper money .”

“Today was my first time at a Agua Fresh Restaurant. I ordered my first ever Coconut Bubble Tea. it was very good. But what I mostly want to comment on was the efficiency and friendly service from the girl working behind the counter. They had a sign that said they were "low staffed and thank you for your patience". It was very busy. She kept up with the crowd very well as the only employee there. The owner of this place has a wonderful employee with her.”

“I don't want to knock the place because they provided a quick and overall good meal for my family. The pasta special was tasty and the cakes were really good! The chicken salad croissant would not be an item I would recommend to people since there was barely a quarter cup of chicken salad on the croissant and a bunch of lettuce.”
