The staff was super friendly and we stayed longer just to continue the good conversation. Stop in and give this place a try, they are really trying to be a solid “go to stop” in Deadwood! “I’m not normally a “sushi” gal so this was a venture outside of my box type of meal. Wow so good! And the waiter so helpful! 100% enjoyed trying sushi tonight. I did the fried chicken roll and volcano signature roll (friend spicy tuna). Delish. My husband (an avid sushi lover) got the crab stick roll and sashimi and was equally as happy with his meal. Definitely worth it to try them out :)”

“Party of 10. We've been stopping here for 4 years now. We've had bad experiences with bartenders over the years. They just aren't overly friendly. That's what stopped us from eating here in the past. We were never in a hurry but never stayed for more than one drink because of the bartender. This year again, not a friendly bartender.

The mornings we stopped for Bloody Mary's we had a super friendly lady who grew up in Minnesota. She took great care of us again this year! The outdoor seating is great. They have nice flowers around the deck.

We finally came for dinner one night.
We had such a great time at Lewie's! The burgers were amazing, but our server Joe really made the night. He’s witty, playful and full of personality — he teased our table just enough to keep us laughing and matched our energy perfectly. Can’t wait to come back when he’s working! He even handled the joke about him being on fire. We loved your attitude, Joe!

They are obviously doing things right for the most part because they always looked busy when we drove by in the evening and we come during the off season.”

“We found this great coffee shop last year while vacationing in the area. Spent 2 nights in Deadwood this week, and got coffee here both mornings! Great seasonal flavors and the caramel roll was super yummy!!!”

“Our host was very pleasant. The atmosphere was very nice. Our server Pagan was spot on, from the moment we sat down, to getting our drinks and food. Went there for our anniversary and will definitely go again if we are ever in the area. My husband had the trio of meats and stated that it was very firm but tender. Sweet potatoes were firm and delicious. I had the filet Oscar, and it was very juicy. We also shared the escargot and our server recommended the bacon wrapped scallops, very delicious. We also had for dessert a Apple Pie cheesecake, just made you feel like you were at home. A fantastic place to eat!”

“Did it right, got there early. Steak medium rare. An amazing experience and thank FLL we picked it. Nicole our server was amazing, friendly and knowledgeable with recommendations. For the manager, my only recommendation would be to have the hostess a little more welcoming and concerned about their job and maybe better communication about what to do before you get the test to go down stairs before “everyone “ gets the same text at opening. I didn’t have an issue but many were complaining about the disorganization. Will definitely be back in a next visit and no doubt a recommendation to others if you are unsure. This was also on a Kool nights week day 1.”
