“Love this place, love the staff & food!”

“got a pizza and wings and cheese bread tonight. ordered the white buffalo sauce traditional wings and pops ordered parm garlic and step mom ordered sausage and pickle pizza (amazing duo, must try). everything was TOP NOTCH and food was served hot and warm and tasted amazing!!! Will be going back regularly for sure!”

“This is NOT a 💯 % recommendation for The Wooden Nickel. We first visited this establishment just over two years ago. We frequented it almost weekly for the better part of 1.5 years. It was good…the food is good & at the time the service was good. However lately…in 2024 it has been sub par. This year during Crooks days we stopped in…it took 15 minutes FOR ANYONE to walk up to our table and even hand us menus…and when she did she was on the phone talking to someone. We waited another 10-15 minutes and nobody came back to our table. In fact a table close to us came in after us. They got a drink order and a food order in. There were 2 people here during CROOKS DAYS and the car show! By this point we were fed up with waiting. I went to the bar and told the bartender what was up. His response was “I just got here.” Subpar service to say the least. Prior to this fiasco a week earlier I had reserved seating for up to 15 people for a surprise bday party for my wife. It started ok as I had ordered starters before the party arrived. However once everyone showed up it took over 45 minutes for any one (first person) to get their food orders. They were (2 people) under staffed! How do you not prepare when you know you have a large crowd coming in? IDK what’s going on here however we had spent a LOT of money in this place the previous 2 years before spring/summer 2024. Since Angie has been gone pretty much….bring her back. We have deliberately been avoiding the Nickel because of this latest subpar “preparation & performance”.”

“Cappuccino Cabin is such a hidden gem. The shop itself is tiny and cozy, but the atmosphere is warm the second you drive up. The owner is genuinely one of the sweetest people you’ll meet, he always chats while he’s making your drink, and you can tell he truly loves what he does and the people who come to order. The coffee is incredible every single time, and the prices are surprisingly great for the quality you get. It’s the kind of place that instantly becomes a favorite once you’ve visited. If you’re anywhere nearby, Cappuccino Cabin is definitely worth the stop. I've been looking around Sioux Falls for the best latte I could find, and this wonderful man definitely won it for me! Thank you for all you do, stay amazing!”

“First time trying out this place. First snow day and was really craving some pho. About 40 minute drive for us but foodie needed to try this place. Recommend 100/10!!! We had the beef pho, yellow curry, tom yum, egg rolls and spring rolls. It was heaven! Food coma after this. We are definitely coming back🤗COME TRY THIS PLACE!!”

“I don’t even know where to start with this place. If I were on death row and could choose a final meal, it would be from Lalibela. I’ve never eaten something there that wasn’t spectacular. The spice level is perfect, enough to warm up your lips but not too hot to overpower the perfect blend of spices. My only complaint is that I don’t live down the street from it anymore. BEST FOOD EVER!”

“This place is about as close to authentic Mexican food as you get in Sioux Falls. Portions were plentiful, staff friendly and the place was clean and quiet. Food came out quick and was delicious. I got the Chicken Enchilladas and my guest got the birria tacos. Will be back!”

“Sakura used to be our go to for good sushi and rolls. But lately we've been finding things like pieces of metal shard in rolls. Fish scales/skin in rolls. We've been charged 3 times for a meal before. Send like they have been losing their way lately. Unfortunately going to be finding an alternative sushi location.”

“My first experience was disappointing. My kiddo loved his Big Kahuna. My BLT, however was a huge disappointment as it lacked a few ingredients. The crust was definitely good so we may try it again at some point.”
