“Love this place, love the staff & food!”

“got a pizza and wings and cheese bread tonight. ordered the white buffalo sauce traditional wings and pops ordered parm garlic and step mom ordered sausage and pickle pizza (amazing duo, must try). everything was TOP NOTCH and food was served hot and warm and tasted amazing!!! Will be going back regularly for sure!”

“This is NOT a 💯 % recommendation for The Wooden Nickel. We first visited this establishment just over two years ago. We frequented it almost weekly for the better part of 1.5 years. It was good…the food is good & at the time the service was good. However lately…in 2024 it has been sub par. This year during Crooks days we stopped in…it took 15 minutes FOR ANYONE to walk up to our table and even hand us menus…and when she did she was on the phone talking to someone. We waited another 10-15 minutes and nobody came back to our table. In fact a table close to us came in after us. They got a drink order and a food order in. There were 2 people here during CROOKS DAYS and the car show! By this point we were fed up with waiting. I went to the bar and told the bartender what was up. His response was “I just got here.” Subpar service to say the least. Prior to this fiasco a week earlier I had reserved seating for up to 15 people for a surprise bday party for my wife. It started ok as I had ordered starters before the party arrived. However once everyone showed up it took over 45 minutes for any one (first person) to get their food orders. They were (2 people) under staffed! How do you not prepare when you know you have a large crowd coming in? IDK what’s going on here however we had spent a LOT of money in this place the previous 2 years before spring/summer 2024. Since Angie has been gone pretty much….bring her back. We have deliberately been avoiding the Nickel because of this latest subpar “preparation & performance”.”

I loved how joyous and welcoming the barista was and I loved talking about the cool foggy, misty weather we were having that day as it is my favorite type of weather. Coffee was very quickly made fresh right there and tasted amazing. My new favorite spot, will definitely be back! Thank you so much for such an amazing coffee cabin! ❤️”

“Best Mexican food we’ve had here in S Falls. Their Beans are different; you can taste the love and care (and clay pot!). Rice actually had a flavor, unlike all other rice in this town.

Fajitas had a great grilled taste, Birria was delish, Lengua was just like we remember from California, Pastor was yummy.

Side squeeze bottles of red / green salsas were a nice touch and I’m absolutely OBSESSED with the green salsa!

The food was delicious! We were celebrating my birthday and gifted with a complimentary dessert! Will definitely be returning!”

“I don’t even know where to start with this place. If I were on death row and could choose a final meal, it would be from Lalibela. I’ve never eaten something there that wasn’t spectacular. The spice level is perfect, enough to warm up your lips but not too hot to overpower the perfect blend of spices. My only complaint is that I don’t live down the street from it anymore. BEST FOOD EVER!”

“former employee - I was harassed and then groped by one of their line cooks. when I reported it, i was made to cry, blamed, asked why i didnt report it sooner (waited little more than a week, after the employee started bullying me even worse). had to sign something to say I would not speak about it to other employees. fired soon after due to retaliation. FACTS. Morries and Vangaard are horrible. In my opinion! sorry not sorry, being bullied and sexually assaulted is something you NEVER FORGET.”

“Sakura used to be our go to for good sushi and rolls. But lately we've been finding things like pieces of metal shard in rolls. Fish scales/skin in rolls. We've been charged 3 times for a meal before. Send like they have been losing their way lately. Unfortunately going to be finding an alternative sushi location.”
