“Didn’t catch the name of the employee but 2pm on a Sunday(3/8/26), this employee was fantastic! Amazing coffee, clean fast and so friendly. She went out of her way to help an older gentleman carry his coffee to his car. Just all around a beautiful person. Thank you so much!”

“got a pizza and wings and cheese bread tonight. ordered the white buffalo sauce traditional wings and pops ordered parm garlic and step mom ordered sausage and pickle pizza (amazing duo, must try). everything was TOP NOTCH and food was served hot and warm and tasted amazing!!! Will be going back regularly for sure!”

“I always order pizza from the W 41st and Sertoma location. Today, I made a mistake and ordered from the wrong location. They are both on W 41st. I realized my mistake after they explained the locations to me. They were very helpful, understanding, and made a pizza for me as I waited. Quite quickly I may add. I highly recommend this location.”

“I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at this place. It helps that we had the best server ever. If you go, ask Jenna (I think that was our server, that was the name on the receipt) to make you her amazing mocktail, I think it had blended fruit puree, but it was phenomenal. Otherwise, the birria tacos are fantastic, worth the $5 for the extra taco. The side salad goes really well with the tacos, especially with the Asian dressing. They also have a punch card for their lunch menu, so i recommend checking that out. Really a cool place with a great vibe and some amazing food. I got the smoked mesquite old fashioned which was also terrific.”

“This is NOT a 💯 % recommendation for The Wooden Nickel. We first visited this establishment just over two years ago. We frequented it almost weekly for the better part of 1.5 years. It was good…the food is good & at the time the service was good. However lately…in 2024 it has been sub par. This year during Crooks days we stopped in…it took 15 minutes FOR ANYONE to walk up to our table and even hand us menus…and when she did she was on the phone talking to someone. We waited another 10-15 minutes and nobody came back to our table. In fact a table close to us came in after us. They got a drink order and a food order in. There were 2 people here during CROOKS DAYS and the car show! By this point we were fed up with waiting. I went to the bar and told the bartender what was up. His response was “I just got here.” Subpar service to say the least. Prior to this fiasco a week earlier I had reserved seating for up to 15 people for a surprise bday party for my wife. It started ok as I had ordered starters before the party arrived. However once everyone showed up it took over 45 minutes for any one (first person) to get their food orders. They were (2 people) under staffed! How do you not prepare when you know you have a large crowd coming in? IDK what’s going on here however we had spent a LOT of money in this place the previous 2 years before spring/summer 2024. Since Angie has been gone pretty much….bring her back. We have deliberately been avoiding the Nickel because of this latest subpar “preparation & performance”.”

“I really enjoy swinging by here whenever I need a quick pick-me-up during a long day. The drinks are consistently good, and I am usually in and out of the drive-thru faster than I expect, which is perfect when I am in a hurry. The staff is always pleasant and seems to have my order ready with a smile, making it a super easy stop whenever I am on the road.”

“This bar has the BEST Pizza as well as everything else on the menu. Bingo is fun on a Sunday afternoon. Lots of things to do if you like to play at the casino, volleyball, darts or pool. I also liked the car show and RibFest.”

“Best service of any Taco Bell in town. The new Shredded Beef Dipping Taco is to die for - I love the red sauce it comes with!! That is clearly their Enchirito sauce. I really miss that menu item. But the sauce is perfect for not just the dipping taco, but any hardshell we found!”
