“Hands down, the best meal I have ever eaten in 63 years. The service was amazing and chef Chris is the most incredible chef I have ever met.”

The obvious quality is throughout in taste and the other menu options I’ve seen today look equally delicious. Every town deserves an authentic deli like this and Custer is lucky to have it.”

“I am from Gillette coming through today I saw this cute little place on the side of the road. I stopped and had their gizzard platter. It was delicious!! Convenient just pulled up to the drive-through around to the other window to pick up. Order was fast, which I was really surprised how fast it was and very cost-efficient. Can't wait to go back!!”

“If you’re ever in the Black Hills at breakfast time, this is a place you’ll want to stop. Combination bakery and cafe. I ordered two eggs basted soft, sausage, toast and hashed browns. Eggs were done just right, hashed browns we freshly grated, not frozen, and the toast was bread baked on site. Lauren was my waitress and kept my coffee cup full. On the way I. You’ll walk past the pastry case, featuring cinnamon roll and caramel rolls as big as your head, turnovers, and god knows what else. And no, I did not have any…trying to bring my A1C down. But I was sorely tempted. I give them all the stars.”

“I’ve been living in Custer temporarily for the past 6 months and every time I’ve gone into that subway - I’ve left feeling so good and full!! Justin is quite the artist over there!!

If you ever get a chance to go to this location: ask for Justin and have him make you his signature sandwich! It’s a killa!!!! I no longer order anything else on the menu other than this sandwich! It’s absolutely glorious!!”

“This scenic restaurant is a must visit when visiting the park. The food is delicious, the portions are huge,the service is awesome. And where else can you eat a bison burger while overlooking a beautiful picturesque lake.”

“We stopped in here while we stayed the night in Custer and the locals were very welcoming. Ryan and Ellie spoke to us like we were long time friends. The bartender and manager treated us very well. If I wasn't from Illinois I'd go back at least bi-weekly. I can't comment on the drinks. I was DD and just had cherry coke.”

Ordered the Portobello Feta Burger and a Stuffed Portobello on the side. The food tasted fairly good.. but the mushrooms were a bit rubbery..

“Hand cuts steak is always a big yes. You want to find a way to grab good food in and out in under 45-50 minutes. Crab and artichoke have to get. Boom Boom Shrimp large prawns. Ribs can easily feed 2 people. 🤤”

“My first visit to Mt. Rushmore was truly breathtaking! The monument's grandeur and intricate details left me in awe. The architecture is a testament to human ingenuity and perseverance.

But what truly made my trip special was the exceptional experience I had in the restaurant at coffee shop. The barista looked confused with my drink order(I have few dietary restrictions) that’s where this Indian gentleman walks in, his service was outstanding – he not only crafted a custom coffee that catered to my dietary needs but also took the time to share insights about the memorial and other outlets and gift shops they have here.

I am so amazed by his knowledge on food and drinks he shared with us and his willingness to help extended beyond the coffee shop, as he even assisted me with my parking ticket. His warmth and hospitality made me feel welcome and valued.

The restaurant and coffee shop's excellent service elevated my entire experience, making my trip to Mt. Rushmore even more memorable.”
