Horrible service! Waited over 30 mins no one came to get us drinks or anything and we just ended up leaving. Servers chatting but no one waited on us. Very disappointed would never recommend!!!
So I have a mixed review to leave. We recently stayed across the street from this place, we first tried the Mt Rushmore Brewing on the back bottoms floor. HORRIBLE service, food was not worth the price tag, my drink was made wrong and then the server couldn’t even answer beer questions for us.
Our last day we tried The Pounding Fathers upstairs. Totally dif, night and day!!! The food was SPECTACULAR!!!! Our drinks were amazing! And our server was PHENOMENAL!!! Wish we had...read full review
Food downstairs was underwhelming to say the least. Burger & fries. Shouldn’t be hard. 5 fries in the basket and still charged $16! I even pointed it out to the waiter.

Located in the area, Mt. Rushmore Brewing Company offers a fun place with a great atmosphere and friendly service. The servers are attentive but not clingy, providing wonderful customer service. The beer is flavorful, fresh, and exceptional, with a great beer selection including IPAs. The food is phenomenal, fresh, and seasoned, not bland and boring. Unique dishes like the lomo saltado are favorites, and the brisket meal comes highly recommended. The homemade fries are uniquely cut, super crispy outside and soft inside—often the best menu item. However, some items can be inconsistent: the prime rib sliders can be blah with too much bread and overdone meat, and a burger ordered medium may be way undercooked. The restaurant is dog friendly, providing bowls of ice water and treats for pups. It supports programs like Operation Black Hills Cabin for wounded veterans. Overall, a cozy and comfortable spot for an early dinner, though food quality varies.
