7 Best Tex-Mex Restaurants in Memphis

“Went here on the whim and wasn't disappointed. We got 3 tacos. The republican (brisket), Baja Shrimp and Brushfire (chicken). All 3 tacos were good, 8.4/10. The republican came with a good portion of meat which surprised me. The only downside is the appetizer of Tots were a very small serving. There was maybe 4 or 5 tots. It was good but not anything special.

Overall I would come again to try other tacos.“

“To James M.- it’s absolutely obvious why they (along with a few other restaurants) have added the 20 percent onto your check. Take a look around. No one is going to stay staffed when servers are getting two dollars despite what the bill is. Absolutely necessary. I live in Nashville and it is obvious.“

“The services weren't bad, typical chili's bar like environment. I was a bit taken back by what was described as Nachos that I ordered. The menu described chips,black beans, tomato,ground beef sour cream and cheese but what I received was chips with cheese baked on it, no beans or ground beef, or sour cream, it did have jalapeños and did not look or taste like classic nachos. The other items we ordered were great. The chicken and shrimp fajitas were great and the party platter with crispers, egg rolls and sliders tasted very good, the honey chipotle sauce is an absolutely delicious flavor.“

“Thoroughly enjoyed my early dinner here. The staff were all so accommodating and kind, especially Mattie! (Sp?)
My meal (tacos al carbon) was served quickly and it exceeded expectations. The drink (jalapeno margarita) was delicious and they made sure I had everything I needed. The patio and restrooms were very clean.
As pleasant an experience as you can ask for!“

“Went in at 8 and closes at 9 it was semi-dead for a Thursday night but the service was amazing. The two ladies in the bar were cleaning their areas as they should be with the bar being empty but did not hesitate to make sure we were taken care of. Great recommendations for food and great service. Both ladies were amazing and my wife and I had a great meal from their recommendations. Can’t remember the servers name but the ticket says Nakedrian. She was amazing.“
