“This was my first time here. I really enjoyed my food. I should have asked them to add some spice/heat to my dish because I like it spicy. This was flavorful but definitely not spicy. Probably my fault for not reading the menu closely enough to see that it was not a spicy dish. 🤷🏾‍♂️👌🏾 I had the shrimp and scallops teriyaki, which I know, I know teriyaki is not usually spicy, but I like spicy. Overall I would say the experience was very good and I will definitely go back. The price point for everything that I saw on the menu was very moderate and quite affordable and the portions were very generous. I was very impressed by the quantity of shrimp and scallops that I had on my plate. It might not be that evident from my quick photograph but there was a more than generous helping of seafood. One day I'll go back and try some of their sushi. Definitely check this place out if you were unsure or have not made it inside yet.“

“Honestly, Good little sushi restaurant.
I don't really think rock n roll when I think sushi, but it was a pretty good experience overall.
Prices were reasonable, food tasted good and were good portions, not too busy, service was great, drinks were great. They even had glutton free soy sauce. I also liked the fact that you can still find nearby street parking around this part of town that isn't going to cost you money.

“I got the seaweed salad and spicy tuna crispy rice. When I paid I thought it was a little pricey, but the size of the portions made it a lot more reasonable. The tuna came as 10 pieces, all huge. And the seaweed salad was about 1.5 times the size of any other seaweed salad I've gotten. Fish was fresh, rice was crispy, and the salad was flavorful with a hint of spice.“

As I was about to get my food I noticed the server opening my food and double checking it according to my order. That was a huge plus in my book. She also held the door for me when I left. Now that's great service. The food was warm with the salad and dressing was about expected. Rice wasn't dry at all, very good. Chicken was a little tough but the taste was ok. The veggies(broccoli, zucchini) was delicious. Not a big carrot fan. Shrimp was same as the chicken, a little tough. Now the yum yum sauce was not like I have ever had. I tasted a hint of mustard and the texture was somewhat grainy.
I will go back to try it again, I think they are definitely worth the price of hibachi.“

“7pm on a Saturday night, not busy but slow service. The goyza tasted "fishy" (do they put seaweed in the goyza here? That seems strange if they do), the sushi was ok but was unevenly cut leading to some comically large bites. The ramen comes with a fried egg, which just doesn't hit as well as a marinated ramen egg and the katsu pork I'm pretty sure what just a sysco pre-breaded pork chop which wasn't especially tender or flavorful. I have had better experiences here in the past but it fell way short of the mark this time. Also they seem to have some strange obsession with putting asparagus in almost everything, so if you love asparagus this may be your jam but I don't find it works great in sushi rolls.“

“Nashville has historically had a LOT of great Thai options, and my favorite has evolved over time, from Siam and Royal Thai back in the day to Smiling Elephant and the amazing Thai Phooket before their East location caught fire. It had all led me to Aiyara, the best overall combination of cozy atmosphere (plenty of booths inside), service (welcoming like family), and of course recipes (the only curry fried rice in town!). Best kept Thai secret in the city.“
