“Just got into town and was looking for some food. There is another Sushi place across the street but ended up in this one based on the reviews I googled. Ordered the Chirasi bowl and it looked a bit different from what I was used to and different from the picture that is here on this page. Meal also came with Miso soup which was delicious, thick and flavorful and I had a Sapporo to go with. The way the sushi was sliced on the bowl was odd to me but it tasted fine and there was some light sauce on it. What knocked it down for me was the fake crab meat pieces as I'd prefer real crab. Otherwise fast and friendly service.“

“At 9pm a friend and I decided to visit Rock and Roll Sushi. This was my first time eating here but I must say that I was very impressed with the whole experience. The service that we received from our server Mikaela (hope I spelled it right)was top notch. She was absolutely friendly and made sure that our cups were never empty. Perhaps I've been in many places here in Nashville to express my humble opinion but I must say, this is the best and authentic Japanese place I've eaten! Food recommendations: PLEASE try the omokase. It is a 6 course tasting meal that is different every time you come in. I’ve had the best dishes from this meal and the nigiri are always so delicious. But honestly, I recommend anything and EVERYTHING. To start- king pao Cauliflower. Hot dish- get the Tokyo chicken bowl. Sashimi- the usuzukari or hamachi carpachio. From the robata grill- kamo negi (duck breast). A sushi roll- the playboy. Also the have O-toro, Uni, and so many specialty fishes like kin medai and shima aji!!!!“

“Food was ok but the service was fantastic. I ordered takeout and food was made quickly. As I was about to get my food I noticed the server opening my food and double checking it according to my order. That was a huge plus in my book. She also held the door for me when I left. Now that's great service. The food was warm with the salad and dressing was about expected. Rice wasn't dry at all, very good. Chicken was a little tough but the taste was ok. The veggies(broccoli, zucchini) was delicious. Not a big carrot fan. Shrimp was same as the chicken, a little tough. Now the yum yum sauce was not like I have ever had. I tasted a hint of mustard and the texture was somewhat grainy.
I will go back to try it again, I think they are definitely worth the price of hibachi.“

“Be sure to come hungry! A lot of amazing food, the convey belt was routinely filled with food. Both sushi chefs were making fresh sushi, and checking in on us individually to ask if we wanted any custom rolls.
I'm not a major cream cheese person and it was wonderful to find rolls without cream cheese in it!

Extremely clean place, they were actively keeping the sushi stations pristine after every roll. Definitely would come back!

“Yesterday we had a fabulous dinner at KOI SUSHI THAI, EAST in Nashville….. it was wonderful! We started with Squid Salad and Gyoza then ate our way through totally yummy Crab Bang, YumYum, Eel Nigiri, White Tuna, & Sweet Shrimp… crunchy and delicious! Then we topped it off with Mochi ice cream! Every bite was better than we’ve had in a long time on the road! We had a “Trainee” server…and the rest of their friendly staff helped her provide superior attention! So glad we found KOI SHSHI THAI early in our stay herein Nashville! We’ll be back!“

Took order and fresh food was served in about 4 minutes. Calamari , cucumber roll and California roll were on point .Will stop again when out that way in the future!?“

“7pm on a Saturday night, not busy but slow service. The goyza tasted "fishy" (do they put seaweed in the goyza here? That seems strange if they do), the sushi was ok but was unevenly cut leading to some comically large bites. The ramen comes with a fried egg, which just doesn't hit as well as a marinated ramen egg and the katsu pork I'm pretty sure what just a sysco pre-breaded pork chop which wasn't especially tender or flavorful. I have had better experiences here in the past but it fell way short of the mark this time. Also they seem to have some strange obsession with putting asparagus in almost everything, so if you love asparagus this may be your jam but I don't find it works great in sushi rolls.“

“I really wanted to give the best review on this lounge because it was absolutely beautiful. The only negative thing I can say is that we never got to try any food because our server disappeared. We got tired of waiting for her to come back so we went elsewhere. To be fair it was a Saturday night so maybe they were short on servers. The view though is amazing and the live music that was going on while we were there was great. The menu definitely had some good options for food and drinks. Clean bathrooms. I'd be willing to give it another try next time I'm in Nashville.“

“Nashville has historically had a LOT of great Thai options, and my favorite has evolved over time, from Siam and Royal Thai back in the day to Smiling Elephant and the amazing Thai Phooket before their East location caught fire. It had all led me to Aiyara, the best overall combination of cozy atmosphere (plenty of booths inside), service (welcoming like family), and of course recipes (the only curry fried rice in town!). Best kept Thai secret in the city.“
