She helped me navigate the menu and helped pick out two rolls that were delicious! I also have a shellfish allergy and she kept me safe! While I was waiting on my food, Nicky was very attentive and made sure I didn’t have a need while I waited. She was very kind and made sure my order was correct and packaged before I left. The sushi was tasty. I will also note the wasabi actually has some kick to it which is appreciated. It’s not the green tasteless paste some places use. I would recommend. It was also a unique atmosphere being rock and roll themed. I’ve never seen anything quite like it.“

“The Good: My wife and I are from California and have been missing good seafood and sushi. Nashville still really lacks on good quality fish, and when you do find it, you're paying a premium for just good quality that is not special to the west or east coasts.

That being said, this place does provide good sushi. The fish and flavor combinations were good. It satisfied our sush cravings and it was not disappointing. We did their top level omakase experience which included touches of bone marrow and truffle here and there + a bump of caviar. For refreshments, they only serve water, coke. and sprite. But our host was kind enough to grab a diet coke from the hotel and didnt even charge us for it. Really nice of them.

The alcohol selection is very limited, but looked delicious. We are on a no alcohol kick for this month so we didnt try any. They also have a couple of mocktails which were delicious.

The chef was kind and personable. He did a really good job keeping up conversations while keeping up with the food experience. Even taught me some tips while cooking at home.

The atmosphere was intimate and chic. Small seating area with good lighting and decor. Music from the restaurant was great and not too loud.

The not so bad: There seemed to be a nightclub below us, which was distracting only becuase I'm easily distracted. No one else seemed to mind it.

Also like I mentioned before, you are paying a premium for sushi in the Nashville area, which still a disappointment. Our total bill was just under $500 including tax and tip. There are three levels for the Omakase starting at $75/person going up to $175/person. The level of differentiation between each is not really worth it. So I would do one of the first 2 tiers next time.

We also have not tried Noko or Sushi Bar yet for comparison, but when we do I'll update my review.

That being said, it is worth checking out and we will probably be back again.“

Good selection of alcohol, the sakes, like the coconut lemongrass one are excellent but pricey. We have visited 4 times and have never been disappointed.“

“This is the only sushi store in the food hall, located right next to the passageway doors. They have over 30 different types of sushi rolls. Some small dishes, sashimi, desserts and drinks are also available in the menu. Prices range from $8 to $20. They are one of the rare stores that actually has seats all around it. Looks pretty cool to get the view of the kitchen from the seats.

I waited about 5 minutes in the line to put in my order. They use phone numbers to notify customers when order is ready for pick up. Very convenient as visitors can go around while their rolls are getting ready. My order took about 20 minutes to be ready. While I was waiting, I saw other orders coming out, the sushi and snack items looked really nice. The staff members were working super hard in the kitchen to get the huge numbers of orders completed as quickly as possible.

I got the eel sushi roll. It came with 10 pieces. The taste of the eel and rice was decent. The sauce was really good. They also have a lot of ginger and good quantity of wasabi. Overall it was a decent meal, but I wish the wait time wasn’t this long.“

“We had a few friends out to go to dinner at Sunda. To start this review, Mario and Justin were awesome. It really seems like the staff works very well with Mario and has a good time. Our group gave a some creative license on the food to Justin, who was serving us. The whole experience was one of a kind and truly exceptional. We had a few bottles of wine and some of the sake. Everyone at the table enjoyed what Mario, the manager, suggested for appetizers. We started off with some interesting sushi, spicy edamame, and shishito peppers. One creation called the Great White was beyond belief. Try it if you are in. A few more sushi creations went around the table were the salmon crudo, the yuzu tuna, the tuna truffle pizza, and the smoke show (which was a cool little presentation). My wife had the Tom Yum Sea Bass which was short of amazing. I had the pancit canton with chicken, which was the simplest of all of the adult dishes. Justin brought out a huge "boat" of sushi for one of my friends. It was probably one of the most adventurous and tasty sushi dishes I have ever seen. If you have kids, you know it means a ton when your child really loves their dinner. Mario suggested a salmon bento box, of which the kid loved every bite. The lychee mochi ice cream was a great dessert to end with. Mario sat with us for a few discussing the food and my child trusted his opinion on food so much she tried her first, second and third salmon nigiri! To finish we had the Ube pie and the bibingka cake because I like Ube and Filipino food. The pie was great but the bibingka cake took the show. It had an amazing flavor profile. The service was probably the best I have ever had. The staff's knowledge of the menu and what will pair well was on point. We cannot wait to go back after the holidays! “We tried this lovely and delicious restaurant last night. The first thing I learned was they have two menus- one for sushi/sashimi and one for Thai cuisine. This review is about the Thai menu choices. Their menu is available online. There are many different and delicious sounding rice and noodle dishes with veggies that you can order with your choice of chicken, meat, seafood, or tofu. Their diverse menu also offers a tempting selection of fried rice dishes, appetizers, soups, and desserts. They ask you to let them know if you would like your dish to have some heat, and how much. Prices are comparable with or even less than other Thai restaurants I’ve been to. My brother chose red curry, made with coconut milk and mouth wateringly good with veggies, chicken, and jasmine rice. I had pho, a Vietnamese soup. The huge and certainly dinner-size bowl of oh so good luscious broth was filled with noodles, veggies, pork that I chose, and basil, bean sprouts, and slices of jalapeño pepper and lime on the side to be added as desired. I dumped them all in and dug in. Ummm umm SO good, YUM! We had mango sticky rice for dessert. If you like mangos, I’d say this dessert is not to be missed! The rice IS sticky. In fact it’s stuck together- sweet and especially delicious with the mango. The staff was extremely helpful, welcoming and warm and friendly. They enthusiastically answered my questions. “7pm on a Saturday night, not busy but slow service. The goyza tasted "fishy" (do they put seaweed in the goyza here? That seems strange if they do), the sushi was ok but was unevenly cut leading to some comically large bites. The ramen comes with a fried egg, which just doesn't hit as well as a marinated ramen egg and the katsu pork I'm pretty sure what just a sysco pre-breaded pork chop which wasn't especially tender or flavorful. I have had better experiences here in the past but it fell way short of the mark this time. Also they seem to have some strange obsession with putting asparagus in almost everything, so if you love asparagus this may be your jam but I don't find it works great in sushi rolls.“
