Perhaps I've been in many places here in Nashville to express my humble opinion but I must say, this is the best and authentic Japanese place I've eaten! Overall I would say the experience was very good and I will definitely go back. The price point for everything that I saw on the menu was very moderate and quite affordable and the portions were very generous. I was very impressed by the quantity of shrimp and scallops that I had on my plate. It might not be that evident from my quick photograph but there was a more than generous helping of seafood. One day I'll go back and try some of their sushi. Definitely check this place out if you were unsure or have not made it inside yet.“

“Honestly, Good little sushi restaurant.
I don't really think rock n roll when I think sushi, but it was a pretty good experience overall.
Prices were reasonable, food tasted good and were good portions, not too busy, service was great, drinks were great. They even had glutton free soy sauce. I also liked the fact that you can still find nearby street parking around this part of town that isn't going to cost you money.

“I got the seaweed salad and spicy tuna crispy rice. When I paid I thought it was a little pricey, but the size of the portions made it a lot more reasonable. The tuna came as 10 pieces, all huge. And the seaweed salad was about 1.5 times the size of any other seaweed salad I've gotten. Fish was fresh, rice was crispy, and the salad was flavorful with a hint of spice.“

Then we topped it off with Mochi ice cream! Every bite was better than we’ve had in a long time on the road! We had a “Trainee” server…and the rest of their friendly staff helped her provide superior attention! So glad we found KOI SHSHI THAI early in our stay herein Nashville! We’ll be back!“

“7pm on a Saturday night, not busy but slow service. The goyza tasted "fishy" (do they put seaweed in the goyza here? That seems strange if they do), the sushi was ok but was unevenly cut leading to some comically large bites. The ramen comes with a fried egg, which just doesn't hit as well as a marinated ramen egg and the katsu pork I'm pretty sure what just a sysco pre-breaded pork chop which wasn't especially tender or flavorful. I have had better experiences here in the past but it fell way short of the mark this time. Also they seem to have some strange obsession with putting asparagus in almost everything, so if you love asparagus this may be your jam but I don't find it works great in sushi rolls.“

Order was promptly ready for pick up. Only tricky part is this on 2nd floor of which did not know was even in this strip center which we go to often. Will try soon as eat in patrons.
