I don't know why, but I made the mistake again of going to that substandard gondolier Italian restaurant in Athens. My two granddaughters got burgers that were overcooked, but they did eat some of them and I ordered the veal marsala. My meal looked terrible, smelled bad and I even tasted one bite. It was burned super thin veal with a marsala sauce like I have never tasted before. It was like brown gravy that had been sitting in a pot all day long being kept warm. Great food, great service
My recent visit was outstanding. I had a USDA choice ribeye steak that was flavorful, tender and cooked to perfection. For $3.99 the add on for the salad bar was well worth it; one of the best I’ve had with a great assortment of fresh veggies, salads and meats. The server Keela was super helpful, polite and friendly. I enjoyed the quieter, more relaxing seating in the back right.
