“Had a small dark at shut the cluck up and it started out as a little spicy but it got hotter over time. I eat lots of really spicy food and this was a challenge for me.Dirty bird fries were ordered at the middle spicy level. They were a good spice level and good flavor. The rest of the fries were good as well.The collard greens were great.The banana pudding is really good.“

“They still have it going on here at Gus's on Mendenhall! As I entered, I was promptly greeted by the staff and seated immediately. Once seated, my server Ariel, brought my beverage quickly and took my order. She also notified me about the special they had going on, which I thought was nice if I wanted to get the biggest bang for my buck. The food was excellent as usual and came out quickly. During my dining experience, Ariel checked on me multiple times and offered desert once I was done. I swear this lady has to get about 100k steps a day because she had multiple tables and I watched her take care of all of them. Gus is lucky I live in Atlanta, or I would be trying to steal their employee for my establishment.“

“This one is for the book, cocktail, and food lovers! Libro/Novel has easily become one of my favorite places to go! I've been for brunch, lunch, dinner, and happy hour! Basically, whatever they have to offer, I've tried it...twice! They have local good for purchase and it's a bookstore and restaurant, what more can you ask for. “Excellent food and service. I like the Fancy Nancy. The little cookie is delicious. The food is brought to your table. Also, I heard their pimento cheese is ver good even though I have not tried it. Chicken Salad Chick had two locations. One in East Memphis and the other one close to Lakeland. Also their grape salad is very good and refreshing. I like that the store is closed on Sunday. My daughter buys a lot from Chicken Salad Chick. She does get an offer for a free container“

“My family and I are new to the area as we recently bought a house this area and cooking has been the last thing on my mind. Came by on Friday and boy did everyone else have the same thing in mind! We ordered a family meal and thought it would be too much, but boy was I wrong. We sat in the lobby and waited on our food, saw what I'm assuming to be managers interacting with the young lady's which made my heart happy, because most days managers just sit back and bark orders. And overall there seemed to be a great level of respect on all ends which is so refreshing.All in all the food was absolutely divine, my family asked for it again on Sunday which I obliged and whipped in and picked up yet another family meal and my husband asked for it again on today lol.You all have a definite winner with the Battle family that's for sure.“
“This time of year every year I travel to Memphis. I eat almost entirely Piccadilly during my stay. I've been here 4 times a week for the last few weeks and the food is spot on. They cook a little low sodium, which most places do now, but salt is on the table.From the first time I walked in until present the atmosphere and the staff were all like being around kin folk. They are super nice and do take a liberty of talking to you and treating you like your at a family get together instead of a restaurant.The dinning area is old and somewhat worn but Clean. I've never been in their restroom so cannot comment. I always feel comfortable and safe when I'm there, relaxed. Even the customers nod and say hi like they all know me, which they don't but the whole place is really homey.“
