“Excellent food and service. I like the Fancy Nancy. The little cookie is delicious. The food is brought to your table. Also, I heard their pimento cheese is ver good even though I have not tried it. Chicken Salad Chick had two locations. One in East Memphis and the other one close to Lakeland. Also their grape salad is very good and refreshing. I like that the store is closed on Sunday. My daughter buys a lot from Chicken Salad Chick. She does get an offer for a free container“
“After reading some of the reviews on here, we were a bit hesitant to visit, but I am so glad we did! We were visiting town for 1 night for a work trip and decided to stop here for breakfast. The food was very tasty, the prices were reasonable, and the service was friendly. Quality food, and we will be back if we are ever in town again!“

“I didn't think much walking in. Place is kinda plain. Ordered a three piece not knowing what to expect, but had my expectations set on low. I was floored by how delicious and perfectly cooked it was. What a juicy piece of fried chicken. Just amazing. Mouthwatering even. My only real complaint is they need to have sauces for dipping. “They still have it going on here at Gus's on Mendenhall! As I entered, I was promptly greeted by the staff and seated immediately. Once seated, my server Ariel, brought my beverage quickly and took my order. She also notified me about the special they had going on, which I thought was nice if I wanted to get the biggest bang for my buck. The food was excellent as usual and came out quickly. During my dining experience, Ariel checked on me multiple times and offered desert once I was done. I swear this lady has to get about 100k steps a day because she had multiple tables and I watched her take care of all of them. Gus is lucky I live in Atlanta, or I would be trying to steal their employee for my establishment.“

“The tenders were fried perfectly. I had the 5 piece, and I got a bonus strip, which was cool. There was enough chicken to split with my Great Pyrenees. He thought they were fire, too. The fries were really good as well, and the Slims Sauce was fantastic. Watch out for the giant pot hole at the back entrance. You could lose your car in that thing. It's totally worth it, though.“
“Went on a Saturday at lunch time and they were not busy. Staff was incredibly friendly and the food was great. The broccoli salad and the Olivia's chicken salad are amazing! The grape salad is delicious and the turkey club was really good too. We will be back!“

Basically, whatever they have to offer, I've tried it...twice! They have local good for purchase and it's a bookstore and restaurant, what more can you ask for. The service is always top tier, and the food is filling and flavorful.
