“We were very impressed with Public House. It was crowded and we were sat at the bar on a long bench with two top tables so it was cozy. Now that I think of it, I feel like when I made the reservation it asked if you wanted bar or outside...but didn't ask if you wanted the restaurant. I would have preferred the restaurant. That being said, the noise level was as you would expect in a bar but not too bad. The salad was really good and really large. We could have split it. We tried the devil eggs and they were tasty and creamy. After those two, I was full, but still had two small plates to eat...chicken livers and beets. The chicken livers were the best I've had out. (I know, they're not for everyone!) I'd order them again if there weren't so may scrumptious items on the menu! The leftovers did heat up well in the air fryer :) And the roasted beets and goat cheese were perfection. My husband had the flounder special and said it was excellent. We would definitely go back.“

And then happened upon this smaller point place for her birthday dinner this night. Mainly trying to be more casual and save a little money.
Wife said this was the best place we ate while we were in Chattanooga so definitely five star

“First time at Mean Jeen’s today! Oysters with the pineapple mignonette were *chefs kiss* Po’ boy was slammin. Boiled peanuts were worthy of the sketchiest gas station that has the highest yelp reviews in the state (if you don’t know, that’s the highest praise). The owner took care of me, she’s a queen. I most of all suggest the batched white tea shots. They come in cute little airplane bottles (green tea shots are also available). You won’t regret a single thing you have here, but the best part was the vibe. 12/10 stars. Do recommend.“

“The bartender allowed us to sit 5 minutes before close (we didn’t even realize). We didn’t know what we wanted and he jumped at the opportunity to recommend drinks of his own creation. He nailed it and we walked out after an enjoyable conversation completely satisfied.“

Nice name to tag yourself in on socials because of the Southern meaning of it, esp if you are from somewhere else! If you sit at a table you may have to go to the bar to order your drinks. You can order food from Granny’s to pick up from your phone right next door. 🙂 Definitely one of the most recommended and cool eccentric bars in Chattanooga! ❤️ Love it.“

“First of all - love the name. This spot was fun and chill; had good seating and vibey lighting and music that’s loud enough to feel good energy, but still able to talk. Menu prices were pretty standard for chatt. It was easy to get the bartenders attention and it wasn’t too crowded.“

“This is by far the best bar I have ever been to in my life! The moment I walked in there I was treated like family. Tons of laughs and super friendly people. I believe they have the coldest beer in town also makes them go down super quick! Inside there's an awesome jukebox and then there's a beautiful porch out back where you can shoot darts. Nothing but positive vibes at this establishment and everybody comes to have fun and laugh. Betty the bartender is amazing and nurtures all her customers and always has a smile on! David the owner is cool too! He has some good stories! This is where I go to escape chaoticness in life. I highly recommend!“

“Food and alcohol were good. Crowd are a lot like Nashville students. Not really for me personally but probably fun for 20 somethings. They have pool, a pool, darts, cornhole, and a macnical bull. Seems dogs might be welcome outside in the smoking area.“

“Did a tour and tasting this weekend. Our guide, Ethan was amazing, fun and informative. Not a huge bourbon fan, so I was very happy that they included their Old Fashioned with the tasting. “My son and I stopped in for his early bday dinner, with it being the day after Christmas I fully expected disgruntled staff. That was not at all the case. We were promptly seated and in the 4 minutes it took for me to visit the ladies room to wash my hands our server Bryan was apologizing for the wait!!! Like sir, what wait? He was incredibly helpful as this was our first visit. He offered in depth explanations of the menu options including letting us know about some of the special imported ingredients from Italy that make this not your typical pizzeria experience. They serve authentic Neapolitan Style pizza. We had the Italian Stallion and the Spicy Bianca. Both were superb. The food came quickly and was everything Bryan said it would be. I also tried one of the several beers they have on tap. The "hello darlin" was a perfect pairing to the pizza. We live in Huntsville AL and will DEFINITELY be making the trip back. Thank you to Community Pie and Bryan for helping me give my soldier an epic birthday dinner.“
