On our road trip back home to Illinois from Florida my family and I wanted a real good tasting bbq joint. Charlie's came up from a Google search and we decided to give it a try. The food was so good! The sauce was very good too...our favorite was the hot bbq. My husband and I got brisket sandwiches and we got the kids the pulled pork sandwich meals. Charlie's was so amazing and accommodating! They allowed us to host our rehearsal dinner there with nearly 40 people and even closed early so we had the restaurant to ourselves! The food was delicious and they even came up with an option for our vegetarian guests so they had plenty of food. It was very reasonably priced and we had a ton of leftovers to take home. I came here about 3 years ago when it first opened, and it was good but I didn't go back because it was similar to the BBQ in my normal stomping grounds. On a whim, my husband and I found ourselves in the area and decided to go in. Well, there's a new pit master in charge and all I can say is WOW. Best BBQ and sides I've ever had.
