Karl's Family Restaurant

Google told us they were open until 9pm. We drove 10 miles out of our way to find them (on a Sunday evening). We arrived around 6pm, but they closed at 3pm on Sundays! So we have no real review to give, other than to be aware of operating hours. We ate at O'Charleys across the street instead. Maybe someday we can come back when they are open and try them out.

I have gone here for years as a kid - always remember it being busy and family oriented with decent food (never anything to call home about). I decided to come in after years of not being here. The atmosphere is set up like my grandmothers house. The smell is similar to a nursing home. Not sure why. Breakfast special is under $5 and I got 2 eggs, bacon and biscuits and gravy. For such a small establishment, there sure is a long wait for food/service. The coffee was good, nice and hot, and the food wasn't bad at all for the price. The atmosphere was very strange, kind of like an antique store where all of the decor was for sale, which I dug. Our waitress could have been a bit more attentive, but she kept the coffee coming so no complaints really. It's definitely worth a try.
