We just tried the new location on E Brainerd Road and it was fantastic! We normally go downtown to MLK but this location is a little closer for us. We can’t wait to come back! ♥️♥️♥️ Thank you Uncle Larry’s!
We first encountered Uncle Larry's at a UTC game (food truck) a couple of years ago, so we wanted to try it again. I went to the E Brainerd location and placed a take-out order when I arrived. All of the staff I encountered were so nice and even gave me a sample of one of the desserts before I ordered it. I ordered two catfish plates, one order of fried green tomatoes, a slice of key lime pie, and a slice of cinnacrack cake. Oh my goodness, ALL of it was so good and so filling!...read full review
The food is good, but Tera (I believe that is her name) provides horrible service. She displays a nasty attitude. Instead of greeting guest with hello, its "dine in or carryout!," all while smacking gum. I asked for extra tartar sauce, with the preface of offering to pay. Instead of handing it to me, she proceeds to place it on the counter and slides it to me with one finger. I said thank you, to no acknowledgement.
