I came with a friend to Big Tom's one rainy Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. The place was pretty empty when we arrived so we had our choice of tables and booths. We ordered a batch of the fried pickles because they were half price as part of a happy hour special. What a massive order! Fresh out the deep fryer, the pickles were the perfect level of crunch and came with a creamy ranch sauce for dipping. The grouper sandwich was ok, if you like grouper, I found out that I don't. I was extremely disappointed in the sweet potato, as It was very small and dry. It was near closing time, but that's really not an excuse for bad food. The server was nice and very friendly. I really like the atmosphere, as it is comfortable and relaxed, so I will try it again.I will definitely try something different from the menu.

Any time a restaurant has a Month Cristo I usually get it. This is my 3rd visit to BigToms. They had a Monty Cristo. I asked my Waiter if it was available. He said yes. I asked if there made them the night before before and pressed them. He said yes. At $11. That's a bit high for a sandwich. But I really like it so I ordered one.
