Have eaten here many times when passing through the area and never disappointed. Fast service, good country cooking and unbeatable prices. This trip I had the daily special which was baked ham with two sides (for me, great northern beans and fried apples) and two slices of fried cornbread. All for $8.99! If you like good country cooking and southern hospitality, check out the Golden Girls.
We went for our first time today. The food and service WERE EXCELLENT!!! They even have my favorite meal, Liver and onions with mashed potatoes and gravy with okra for a side. My wife had the grilled shrimp skewers. The price is very reasonable, especially for the quality of the food. Highly recommend

Their sweet tea is the fluid of the soul! I absolutely LOVED the deep fried zucchini and highly suggest it. I loved the down home atmosphere, and brought back strong memories shared with My Grandparents, Northern girl raised southern. The roast beef and gravy needed some salt and pepper, but I wasn't unsatisfied. I had to stop myself from taking a third sweet tea !
