About Bangkok Alley

Bangkok Alley, a restaurant in Collierville, offers a pleasant dining atmosphere and good service. A long-time local favorite, it has recently seen some changes to its menu. While appetizers such as calamari and rangoon have been well-received, the shrimp pad Thai has been noted for needing more tamarind, and the noodles have been criticized for being cut and lacking tenderness. The drunken noodles have also not met expectations for authentic Thai flavor. The basil fried rice, once a unique dish with abundant onions and peppers, has been altered to include carrots and broccoli, causing disappointment among some regular customers. New management, including Oi, has brought back the old feel and service, making a difference in the dining experience. Some dishes, like chicken Larb and Tom kha soup, have been described as overly sweet, and a bowl of chicken soup was found to be quite bland, needing more salt. Despite this, the food remains tasty and fresh, and the service can be quick and attentive. The restaurant is also praised for its quiet, romantic atmosphere, and the friendly manager adds a welcoming touch. Many customers drive from nearby areas just to enjoy the delicious Thai cuisine here, noting that Bangkok Alley continues to attract regulars and shows great potential.

Food was really tasty. Service was awesome too! Ambiance is A1!

Tom Yum Soup is a no go. It looks like they do not have the real ingredients available. Pad Thai is good. Grilled pork is good but when we ordered for take out the pork wasn’t grilled at all. Thai sweet tea is very very sweet. Inside, atmosphere is humid.

My go to Thai item is Mussaman curry. Theirs is OK but a little heavy on the onions.
They have a beautiful patio which if it is not too hot is delightful.
Lunch is a bit more expensive than one would think. But you get a lot for the money.
