The Overland is a gem with a cozy feel and beautiful, calming ambiance, perfect for intimate conversations or a couple of laughs. The Happy Hour appetizers are so good, especially the best hamburger. The Key lime Martini and crab wontons are a great way to start. The Elk Chops are delicious, served with a bordelaise sauce, grits, turnip greens, and smoke corn. The knife and fork cheeseburger missed the mark, but the fries were enjoyable. A pre-arranged menu for Valentine’s Day was fantastic. The staff jumps thru hoops to make sure everyone is happy, with great suggestions and attentive service. A private dining event for 17 guests was truly exceptional, with a personalized menu, family-style charcuterie boards, and pimento cheese wontons. The room was set up exactly as promised with mood music. One bartender ignored a person in the party, which was a bit odd. The restaurant is highly recommended for hosting a private party, and guests will continue to go back.
