“Alyssa F. is a wonderful person at Slim Chickens in Hendersonville, TN. I had a problem with the taste of the coleslaw with an order that was picked up. I called about it and she immediately tasted the coleslaw that morning and agreed. She offered a free meal, and made sure that the coleslaw was ok, by letting me taste it when I came to pick up my free order, it was fine, and I didn't have to wait long. She should be either promoted or compensated for being so polite and making me want to go back to Slim Chickens for the delicious tenders and coleslaw. Thank you, Bob Stephens“

“I came into the restaurant to get my money back because my fries wasn’t fresh an the manager that was short with braids an another female who name start wit a K because I heard her name was cursing an talking rude to each other so I left to try to call someone because they didn’t acknowledge me. But then I had left my receipt in the store but this time when I came in I was greeted by a woman in a cast an she gave me the best service she replaced my food she suggested something else and i ended up buying more food an even waited on fresh cooked food an didn’t even care because she was respectful held a nice conversation and I left with everything fresh and will be returning anytime she’s there thank you and I hope recovery is the best for you“

“I do love me some Chick-Fil-A! My ONLY concern with this location is the slight confusion I have when accessing their drive-thru. I know they have 2 lanes, but where do they start? I did manage to figure it out, but I'm sure I irritated somebody behind me.“

“This is where we go for Chinese Takeout now. Started here when we moved, then switched to Fortune House which went downhill around covid so then it was Peking House, had issues so switched again to Ming. They started having issues so back to China Wok for now. The best Chinese takeout in town is China Cottage but they have been closed and it takes to long to get home with it, plus they have been closed for renovations.
China Wok is the next best and should probably have been four stars but I added one star for all the one star reviews coming from people that don't realize all the battered fried chicken at takeout places with the exception of sweet and sour and lemon chicken come from the same food service supplier. All of it. It's the same for every takeout place in town except Panda which has their own supply chain. Yes, it's mostly batter and the crab rangoon doesn't contain real crab which was a real shock. /s
China Wok is generous with portions including the meat and is a good value in my opinion.
Don't take my word for it, just look at the char siu pork and vegetable photo. This is a usual portion. If you get soup and a couple apps you can easily split an entree.
The soups and appetizers are usually pretty good if they don't burn the crap out of the boneless spare ribs. Fried wings in particular are great, I eat them with mumbo sauce which I wish they had but they don't so I make my own. Ma Ploy spring roll sauce or Underwood Ranch sriracha for most everything else.
Other condiment suggestions (since the little packs are not good) would be gold plum Chinkiang vinegar and lots of white pepper.
Shrimp can be a little gummy sometimes but still better than Peking House where all the proteins are always gummy.“

“Gotta respect the effort here! Walked in and was first in line. Had to wait about 5 minutes before our order was taken at the register. Appeared to be very short staffed. Saw one person in the back making chicken. The only other two people I saw were one lady taking orders rotating between the drive thru window and the front counter. The other guy, I think his name was Vaughn, was working as fast as he could assembling meals.

While I didn’t like the initial wait, I gotta give this crew credit. They were working as fast as they could and did it with smiles on their faces and good attitudes!! Keep it up.

And KFC ALWAYS has the best biscuits - so light and fluffy!!“

“Best fried chicken I’ve had. Gluten free these days so haven’t had much fried chicken over the past couple years but this chicken was better than any chicken I remember having.

“I was so happy to find this gem in the Mt Juliet area. The food is well spiced for me ( level 3 or 4 depending on my mood ). The staff are very friendly creating a welcoming atmosphere. I love the gongura dishes in particular. My wife and I visit here almost weekly. I recommend this restaurant.“
