“Words can’t even begin to describe how I feel about this place. This is where I want to get married. This is where I want to die. I’m naming my firstborn after this chicken. What should you get? Doesn’t matter. You couldn’t go wrong if you tried. The chicken (both fried and grilled) is a miracle, but you MUST get it as a meal. They load you up with so many herbs you see the gates of Heaven itself. The laab gai is the best thing I’ve ever eaten, and I would use all three wishes (if I was granted any) to make it a permanent fixture on their meal. Whoever’s back there in the kitchen, call me. I got a spot in my bed for you.“

This restaurant is inside a medium-sized grocery store. We didn't explore the grocery that much but it seemed like it had a nice balance of dry food goods, refrigerated items, and small objects, mostly either for cooking or the occasional gift. It was clean inside and being a grocery store had a good bit of parking outside.

The restaurant is on the far right as you enter. We were greeted warmly and told to seat ourselves. Menus were delivered promptly.

I ordered a Thai tea to drink. Hubs got the fried shrimp appetizer and we both chose noodles for lunch; he opted for pad see ew and I got drunken noodles.

The restaurant was fairly busy but despite the crowdedness it still felt easy to have conversation with each other. Our food came out quickly but had clearly been cooked fresh.

The Thai tea was the one thing that didn't hit at all. It had a very intense flavor that I couldn't quite place compared to all the other Thai teas I've had. Could just be this one is more traditional, lol. But it wasn't quite as sweet as I'm used to and it almost had a subtly salty vibe; I wouldn't get it again.

That said, the cooked food items were quite good. The breading on the shrimp was incredibly crispy and even I liked them well enough at first; the flavor was light and the texture not rubbery. We did ultimately realize these shrimp had not been deveined, which is not our preference but I understand it's not a requirement to be able to eat them.

The noodle dishes really shone, though. Hubs liked his pad see ew and we both thought my drunken noodles were even better. Lots of tender but still-crisp veggies in both. Strong and pleasantly aromatic basil flavor in mine. Large portion sizes. The noodles were cooked well and were pleasantly chewy. Mine was lightly spicy but nothing intense; I wound up adding more chili oil from the small container on the table.

Service was a highlight throughout; the women working were very personable, got us to-go boxes, and were attentive to any other needs we had.

Lots of menu choices here and fresh food prepared quickly. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.“

The sticky rice was amazing , the miso soup was SO good. Got sushi too & didn't get a chance to eat it but excited for it today. Also, appreciate their side options. My kiddo wouldn't eat a full meal but the side option allowed us to get her something she actually would. 10/10 will eat again when in the area! “We tried this lovely and delicious restaurant last night. The first thing I learned was they have two menus- one for sushi/sashimi and one for Thai cuisine. This review is about the Thai menu choices. Their menu is available online. There are many different and delicious sounding rice and noodle dishes with veggies that you can order with your choice of chicken, meat, seafood, or tofu. Their diverse menu also offers a tempting selection of fried rice dishes, appetizers, soups, and desserts. They ask you to let them know if you would like your dish to have some heat, and how much. Prices are comparable with or even less than other Thai restaurants I’ve been to. My brother chose red curry, made with coconut milk and mouth wateringly good with veggies, chicken, and jasmine rice. I had pho, a Vietnamese soup. The huge and certainly dinner-size bowl of oh so good luscious broth was filled with noodles, veggies, pork that I chose, and basil, bean sprouts, and slices of jalapeño pepper and lime on the side to be added as desired. I dumped them all in and dug in. Ummm umm SO good, YUM! We had mango sticky rice for dessert. If you like mangos, I’d say this dessert is not to be missed! The rice IS sticky. In fact it’s stuck together- sweet and especially delicious with the mango. The staff was extremely helpful, welcoming and warm and friendly. They enthusiastically answered my questions. We ate in the restaurant. Very clean and attractive. I completely recommend it! We really enjoyed the place, the people, AND the food. Try it!“

“First off, let me start with the service. The staff were welcoming and kind. The inside decor was clean and the vibe was inviting. A true hidden gem, this place had barely anyone inside but anyone who entered couldn’t help but smile and have fun as they were being treated by servers with infectious smiles and positive attitudes. Now onto our next subject. The food… My goodness did the food come out quick and they did not sacrifice quality food for good service either. The Crab Rangoon might have been the best appetizer I have ever eaten. It came out in a mere two minutes after ordering and then the main dish I had was Teriyaki Chicken and fried rice. The fried rice was soft, sweet and hot. Everyone needs to visit Poy Thai, I left with a new type of joy I have never felt before. When Jesus comes back He needs to visit Poy Thai.“

“Great Thai food even for non-curry lovers. The pineapple fried rice is amazing, shrimp pad Thai is yummy, spring rolls, crab wontons. There is nothing that I have had that I did not enjoy. The staff is pleasant, helpful and very nice. I don’t know what some of these reviewers are talking about because we find this place delightful. Hope they are on Hendersonville for a long time!“

“The food here was fantastic! Som Tum papaya salad (not pictured) was delicious and generously portioned.

I asked for my Pad Kra Prao (Basil stir fry) to be thai hot, and they definitely delivered! For those who love spicy food, Thai Phooket is a must try!

Finally, I have to give props to the service team. They were both friendly and attentive, ensuring we had an enjoyable meal.“

“7pm on a Saturday night, not busy but slow service. The goyza tasted "fishy" (do they put seaweed in the goyza here? That seems strange if they do), the sushi was ok but was unevenly cut leading to some comically large bites. The ramen comes with a fried egg, which just doesn't hit as well as a marinated ramen egg and the katsu pork I'm pretty sure what just a sysco pre-breaded pork chop which wasn't especially tender or flavorful. I have had better experiences here in the past but it fell way short of the mark this time. Also they seem to have some strange obsession with putting asparagus in almost everything, so if you love asparagus this may be your jam but I don't find it works great in sushi rolls.“

I place a call to Rice box they said my food was already done it wasn't but a few minutes after I placed order.. when the order got picked up they said that it was cooked extra spicy and extra crispy. pitched the food will not be back.“

“Yesterday we had a fabulous dinner at KOI SUSHI THAI, EAST in Nashville….. it was wonderful! We started with Squid Salad and Gyoza then ate our way through totally yummy Crab Bang, YumYum, Eel Nigiri, White Tuna, & Sweet Shrimp… crunchy and delicious! Then we topped it off with Mochi ice cream! Every bite was better than we’ve had in a long time on the road! We had a “Trainee” server…and the rest of their friendly staff helped her provide superior attention! So glad we found KOI SHSHI THAI early in our stay herein Nashville! We’ll be back!“
