“A little awkward coming through the door because of the seating "waiting" area I couldn't decide if I needed to sit to wait and be seated according to the sign or just stand there and make eye contact with the host. After getting the host attention and being seated at my choice of booth, I had to ask for a menu which was awkward again, but once I'd ordered the hostess delivered a decent but not great margarita and a Mi Casita Fajita that was absolutely delicious and so large I wasn't capable of finishing it. Each meat was flavored uniquely and had separate textures. The warmly wrapped tortillas were perfect as well. Even the rice ,beans, salad side dressing was above and beyond. All that, as well as lovely ladies providing table service and it's a five star dinner.”

“A great spot in downtown Humboldt. Soul food made from scratch. Nothing from a can. The chicken and dressing was wonderful and the greens and cornbread were too. Everything was great including the homemade chocolate pie for dessert. Oh yeah, buffet includes drink and dessert. For those who like chitterlings, they have em every Thursday. Fish on Friday. Don't miss this treasure. Thank you Ms. Mary and all the other ladies there.”

“This right here is some of the BEST bbq I have EVER had! I ate all of my food before I even thought of taking a picture... Absolutely worth the stop, go out of your way to eat here if you have to. The chicken is out of this world, it might even make you slap ya mama.. proceed with caution.”

“Stopped in this morning for the 1st time and got me an iced coffee. Gentleman was very friendly and helpful. Place was pretty busy but I was in and out in less than 5 mins. I noticed while there they did take some orders over the phone. My drink I'd really good and it's rather large.Parking: Right out front about 8 spots”

“My most favorite place to visit in Humboldt! They moved to Main Street. The food is delicious and the service is awesome! Their coffee now takes the place of driving all the way to Jackson to a Starbucks! I am now a regular at their Friday night karaoke...it is the best...everyone is friendly and we have so much fun!”

After a 6-year hiatus due to unsanitary conditions and lack of quality food at this restaurant, I recently revisited La Fiesta, and the culinary experience was a delightful surprise. The dishes, reminiscent of Grandma's cooking, exude authenticity. While prices may lean on the higher side, the quality justifies the expense, somewhat. The times I've ordered here, I opted for takeout, so I can't vouch for the dine-in experience, but the swift 10-15 minute wait for takeout is a definite plus. Ample parking and wheelchair accessibility add to the convenience. Kudos to the friendly, English/Spanish-speaking staff. Passing through?
