We have been China Wok’s customers for years. Their food is awesome. The restaurant is clean. The waitresses know us by name. This is my favorite restaurant in Kingsport.
Exceptional all around. The buffet is always fresh and rotated. The soups are always suberp. Everything is excellent here.
The food is great, but I would recommend arriving before 7 p.m., especially on Friday nights. Although the posted closing time is 9 p.m., we felt rushed to leave by 8 p.m. Several buffet items were already empty by 7:30, and when we asked whether they would be replenished, the staff seemed frustrated and said they had stopped making them. They eventually prepared more and brought the food to our table, which we appreciated.

China Wok Buffet is a small restaurant with a limited selection, but what they offer is fresh, hot, and good. The staff is kind, and the price is reasonable. The buffet features small pans that are frequently replenished, ensuring a steady supply of fresh food. The restaurant is clean, and the waitresses are friendly and welcoming, often recognizing returning customers. While it may not be impressive from the outside, the interior is maintained well, and the silverware and dishes are immaculate. The food is average American-Chinese buffet fare, with some dishes standing out. Favorites include Coconut Chicken, General Tso's, meat-on-a-stick, and Chicken Meatballs. However, some meals like egg drop soup may not meet expectations, as it has been described as watery. Despite minor concerns, many customers appreciate the effort of the hard-working staff and find the overall experience enjoyable.
